Beautiful Comet has had a busy month. He made another trek up to the northern part of Minnesota for the winter break and learned that 15 below makes for quick potty breaks before feet freeze up. He also enjoyed his snowy hiking adventures and, most importantly, learned the art of making snow pups. This boy loves rolling in snow! He will throw his body down without any notice on walks to roll in snow.
During this time, Comet met his forever family. Comet's family is a previous RAGOM adopter as they adopted Mistletoe about a year ago. This means Comet will have a younger fur sibling to continue to learn about the Golden life. He will also have two human siblings that he already adores and parents that are looking forward to including him on all their adventures from daily walks to travels. He is one lucky pup!

Welcome to RAGOM, Comet! Comet arrived on November 22, just in time to have a quick introduction to living in a home and then make a 3.5-hour drive up north to Nana's house for Thanksgiving. Luckily for Foster Mom, he is such a great car rider!
This beautiful boy is just a snuggly baby. He wants nothing more than to melt into you and have you pet him. So, as long as you don't like personal space and love having a potty partner, and a nap buddy, Comet is your guy! But watch out! This also makes him a tripping hazard.
Comet had his wellness check on December 7. His ears, paws, and anal area showed signs of allerigies, and he is now on Zyrtec (generic brand) 3 times a day. The doctor said it could be environmental or everything. He will have a booster shot in 3 weeks and he will be checked to see if the Zyrtec is working.
Comet is working really hard learning how to be a dog and does look towards my resident dog for clues to feel confident. He has given my resident dog a low/soft growl when the resident dog enters the house and when we walk by other dogs on walks. This may go away once he is neutered or when he gains more confidence. I have nipped it in the butt at home by making sure the resident dog enters the house first from walks and from the backyard.
Comet's neuter appointment is scheduled for January 11. He will be ready to go to his furever home once he is healed.
