Cookie has a huge fan club! There were so many wonderful applicants; it was very difficult to narrow it down to one family to meet with. The family we found for sweet Cookie to spend the rest of her Golden life is truly special.
They’re a young married couple just a couple of years into building their family. They’ve wanted a dog of their own for a long time but knew the timing wasn’t right until they were more settled. Well lucky for Cookie, that time is now!
Her new parents instantly fell in love with her on their first meeting and didn’t even mind her shoe-stealing ways. They have lots of plans for fetch, long walks, and some pup socialization at doggy daycare. In the summer she’ll be heading to their cabin and playing with her doggy cousin (also a RAGOM pup).
We couldn’t be happier for Cookie as she starts this new chapter. It’s going to be filled with so much playing (lots of playing), cuddles, and love. Congratulations to Cookie and her family!

We’re pleased to welcome sweet Cookie into the RAGOM family! This petite Golden girl has one of the best smiles and the cutest, long whiskers. She is a ball of energy and that’s an understatement!
Cookie is about 1½ years old and was raised in a family with three boys. Sadly, one of her family members has allergies so they made the difficult decision to have RAGOM help her find a new home where she’d be able to be around the family all the time.
This first week of being in her foster home has been full of new adventures! Cookie has been getting used to her two foster brothers and wants so badly to wrestle and engage in some rough and tumble play. She hasn’t quite figured out when to back away when they try to give her the signal that they’re too old for that sort of thing!
We watch their interactions pretty closely and tend to think she’d do best in a forever home as a single dog or with another pup who is ok living with that sort of energy level.
In addition to her two foster fur brothers, Cookie also lives with a 6-year-old human foster sister. The two get along great overall; Cookie loves to play outside with her in the snow and loves the affection from a kid. There’s some frustration when Cookie comes barreling into a room and jumps up almost knocking her over, but we’re working on manners.
Cookie has gone on several walks when it’s not too cold and she likes to play fetch. She likes to stop and sniff along the way and tends to bark at people or dogs we pass by. Don’t let this 55-pound girl fool you, she is STRONG! We have found she does better on a gentle leader harness when out for a walk.
In the house, she loves to grab the closest thing she can find (shoes, socks, any object on the floor) and tries to entice her people into a game of chase! She’s really good about letting us take things out of her mouth and will even trade sometimes.
When Cookie has gotten some of her energy out, she is an expert cuddler. She loves coming over for belly rubs and always wants to be near people. She does really well in a crate in our bedroom at night and when we’re away from home. She goes into the crate for a treat and will whine or bark for a minute but then settles in.
Cookie is going to be the perfect addition to some very lucky family. With a lot of patience and experience in how to train a puppy with positive reinforcement, you could be her perfect match! This sweet girl has so many Golden years ahead of her!
