Cooper 05-010

Profile

5/23/05: Here's Cooper! He is an extremely sweet and sensitive young 8 month old boy. He tries very hard to please you and is very loving and snuggly.

He is one of Holly's 05-003 pups and has the same wonderful huge eyes!!! We are working on obedience and walking nice on the leash. I don't think he was actually walked before, as he likes to wrap himself around you! Cooper learns very quickly. He is a little shy of loud noises and would like to stay in our yard rather than go for a walk down the road. I'm hoping he will find out walking is a very fun thing to do - he just needs more confidence.

Cooper does not like to be crated - he is very claustrophobic and would do better in a home where he doesn't need to be crated. We have a lot of toys around and a lot of dogs to play with, so here, he doesn't get into any trouble. But being only 8 months old he would have to be supervised. He is not a dog that just grabs thing to chew up - he really is a good boy.

When he came to us, he was being treated for coccidia and giardia, two parasites that left him with a large belly and very poor hair coat. Those parasites are now gone, and his whole body looks soooo much better! No more accidents in the house, the poor little guy! He also had a bladder infection, and just got a total clean bill of health on that too!

So, you know what that means? He is ready for his wonderful, loving, caring forever home. This guys needs to know that someone special wants him for the rest of his life and in return he will give you the ultimate - all his love. He would do best in a home that has time for him, will take him to obedience class and give him the guidance that he needs to grow up right. He does great with other dogs and cats.

Cooper has been adopted by his foster family :) Here are some pictures of Cooper with Mom and fur siblings.

Cooper just keeps getting better everyday! His fear of objects and noises has just about gone away. Now when you vacuum, you have to push him out of the way with the wand in order to get any work done! Before he would run into the next room the minute the vacuum was turned on.

He loves other dogs, and gives our long term foster Brandy 04-239 kisses on her face and her feet. He always watches out for her. It is just his special way.

Cooper loves the pool, as you can tell by the pictures! He has fun with everyone he meets. He and his foster brother Charlie 05-04-03-208 are such good buds. They play and play. They are also very good for each other. Charlie is scared of storms, Cooper could care less, Cooper has been a little shy of some people, Charlie loves everyone! So they are learning the good points (luckily) from each other, and getting through their personal scary stuff with the help of each other. So if anyone out there is looking for two wonderful RAGOM boys, here is your chance!!!

Cooper does need to live with another dog, or have a person around most the time; he does get anxiety when left alone. But who wouldn't want to be around a wonderful guy like this all the time?

Cooper also looks deep into your eyes and always wants you to be happy. When you are sad, he is right there, giving you kisses or doing some unbelievable silly self taught trick with one of his toys. And then watches to see if you caught that one! He makes me laugh so much! He would be your absolute best friend!
