Cooper is back! He made a valiant effort to become part of a young family with a cat, but proved to everyone that he is not a kitty friendly guy. He is hoping to find a family with older children or a couple looking for a housetrained companion who still has a bit of energy…but NO kitties!

Cooper is a happy fellow; he is very attentive and is totally aware of his surroundings. He is very ripe for additional training…he is very bright and a quick study. He has the training basics down…but has a lot of potential for much more. He is one of those ‘eager to please’ guys… his big brown eyes always watching for confirmation.

Upon his return, he recognized everyone right away and was very snuggly. He seems much more relaxed this time around. He was delighted to get back outside and begin his bush patrol for chipmunks. He is a homebody, and doesn’t leave the yard. It feels as if he always keeps one eye on you…making sure you’re close by!

Cooper has had a life changing experience….He has discovered the LAKE!    He was hilariously terrified of the waves along the shoreline when he first arrived, but now he is Super Swimmer!  He dives in head first off the dock and paddles all over making funny little snorting noises.  He can even climb up the ladder (which is comical to see with his legs all akimbo!).  He had his first boat ride and after a few skittish minutes, he was part of the crew and even jumped in (a big leap) when we went swimming!

We had a photo shoot on the dock so you can see Cooper the Super Swimmer in action!

He is such a busy guy, checking out all the bushes for chipmunks and little beasties.  He’s never actually caught anything, but the fun is in the chase!   He is wonderful about having his feet cleaned and loves a snuggly towel down after his swim.   He loves attention and someone must have told him he was a lap dog since he occasionally tries to wiggle up into your lap.

Cooper is a sweetie!
