Copper 13-226

Hi Everyone

My name is Copper and I am using the computer because Foster Mom(FM) and Foster Dad(FD) cannot come up with enough words to describe how GReat I am.  Since they cannot decide what to write, I will write something myself cuz I want a forever family of my very own!

I am a country boy from South Dakota.  My former Mom gave me to RAGOM because she wanted me to have a life without being bullied.  She said I am too sweet of a dog not to have loving brothers or sisters or even to be an only dog.  I want to thank her for doing such a hard thing and putting my best interests first.

Now, more about me:

  • I am a healthy male golden lab mix born in March 2010 and weigh 78 pounds
  • I am house trained, crate trained and I am trusted with free roam of the house
  • I am cat friendly (Foster Kitty Brothers Buttons and Harley and I get along well)
  • I am dog friendly (Foster Brother Maksymilian and next door neighbors Gracie and Ebby are my BFFs)

  • I love going for rides (cars, trucks, vans—I ride well in them all)
  • I enjoy my treats and take them nicely
  • Tennis Balls – do I need to say more except “please throw it again and again and again…

  • Squishy toys -  next best thing to Tennis Balls
  • I always have a waggy tail, even when you just look at me
  • One of my distinguishing features – a big tongue (no this picture is not altered)

  • I am very obedient, I come when I am called (not just for dinner like my FB Maksy!).
I do, however, pull when walking on a leash.  FD says we are going to work on that.
  • I think that I probably do not need a fenced in yard if you are with me.
I am smart enough to be boundary trained.
  • I love to be near my people
  • Sometimes when I get really excited I only have two paws on the ground, but a gentle no reminds me that I need to mind my manners
  • We haven’t had any storms or fireworks, so FM & FD cannot vouch for me that I am brave and not bothered by all that noise
  • I have not been around kids since I’ve come to my foster home, but my former Mom says that I am good around them. FM says that seeing is believing and I will soon be kid tested.
  • I do not resource guard – look at me and FB Maks playing with the tuggy toy

Well, enough about me for now, FM is telling me that it is bath time—I wonder if she has a yellow rubber ducky for me to play with?

Please contact your placement advisor if you would like me to be a part of your family!

Updates

Wednesday, September 4, 2013

Well friends, this is my last update.  My forever family has found me!  I will have two adorable 2 legged sisters, a stay at home Mom and a Dad who fights fires and rescues kittens from trees.

Wow—did I hit the jackpot.  My tail hasn’t stopped wagging and I can’t stop smiling since I found out.

But before I go, I want to say a few things:

·         Thanks again Mom R for knowing what was the best for me!  I will never forget your love.

·         Much appreciation those who have followed my story and now my happy ending.

·         Kudos to RAGOM for being with and supporting me on my quest for a family of my own.

·         PLEASE, PLEASE remember that there are many dogs (FB kitties Harley and Buttons wanted me to mention cats too) that are waiting for a home just like I was and I want them to be as fortunate as me!

o   Keep looking at our website

o   Check out the updates of my GReat RAGOM brothers and sisters

o   Come to the Meet & Greets

o   Join us at Goldzilla on September 15th at Long Lake Park in New Brighton for more golden love that you could ever imagine.  Meet the dogs you have been following up close and personal at the Foster Showcase & Parade

Your new best friend and loyal companion is just waiting for you!

Happy Wags & Kisses

Happy long weekend and to cooler days ahead! It’s Copper here again.

Maksy and I were out in the back yard yesterday with FD while he was watering the garden and fruit trees. All of a sudden I noticed the coolest thing I had ever seen—a tree with soooo many reddish green balls hanging from it, I thought this is what heaven must be like! Naturally I had to try one of those balls, just to see if it would fit my mouth. So I grabbed one of those “balls” from the tree, it was a little tough, but I did it J and it tasted very good. Better than any of my other balls and toys. I brought it to FD to throw and he could not stop laughing and muttering 'FM is not going to be happy that I did not have the camera.'

Here is a picture me and that wonderful “ball” tree with one less hanging from it.

I also wanted to introduce you to my two kitty foster brother’s, but only Harley would stay still long enough to have his picture taken with me. Too bad, because people say that Buttons and I look like twins!

FD did have the camera ready when I was just settling in for a good cuddle with FM—even though FM told FD “don’t you dare, I look awful!” Then she told me that I should not post these to my RAGOM blog …

OK sometimes I don’t listen too well

But I gave her a kiss

And a hug

IT’S ALL GOOD

Here is one last picture of me and FB Maks hanging out together

We are resting because we hear that it is a good day to go swimming make a video.  Watch for my debut as a video star—coming soon to a computer near you and here it is………

Coppers' video debut!

One last picture

Look at me, I caught a fish while I was swimming (this is in case you didn’t watch the video)

Hope you had a GReat Sunday like I did! Thanks for following my adventures with my foster family!
