Daisy 11-328

Profile

Daisy is a 3 yo Golden Retriever. She was rescued by a Good Samaritan after she was abandoned at a farm that was foreclosed on.  She came to my house very shy, timid and scared.  Her tail never came out from between her legs the first few days she was here. She has been spayed, and now is UTD.  She is underweight at 58 lbs.

She found her “safe spot” in her kennel.  She was very afraid of everything and would not even go on walks.  As her time in foster care has progressed she has become much more brave.  She has discovered that people are good, and she LOVES all people that she has met.  She LOVES to go for walks and walks great with a flat collar and she LOVES to be with people.  It has been fun watching her learn from the 3 resident dogs here.  She used to watch them from her “safe spot” and now she is with them most of the time.  She is learning how to play and about toys.  Resident dog Sammie, taught her the art of un-stuffing stuffed animals, and she carries them around with her.  She likes to bring things to her kennel, usually it is anything soft (a pillow, blankets, leash) She also has discovered Nyla Bones and has started to chew on them also.  She is starting to initiate play with the resident dogs also.  Daisy loves to also ride in the car and rides well.

So far I have determined that she will need to find a family with a resident dog, that she can continue to learn from and work on her self confidence with and a fence. She needs a quieter household due to the fact that she scares easily.
