Dakota 11-326

Profile

Meet Dakota! He is a 5 year old, male PB. He and his sister Bailey 11-327 are being fostered together. They came from a loving family who is having some hardships and had to give their beloved pets to RAGOM. They know they will be well taken care of with RAGOM and they would love to see them adopted together! So if you're interested in them both we can work that out!

They were outside dogs, so coming into a home is a little weird for them, but they are adjusting real well. We have not had any accidents yet and they enjoy all the attention.

We will be going to the vet on Wed. to get updated on everything and have them checked over. I do have a cat and they would love to eat her up I think, so a home with no cats is going to be best for these two!! Also we know Dakota does get car sick. An hour into the ride he got sick but not again after and he had about a 5 hour drive, but he also had breakfast.

They did live around children and do well with them. Still trying to get them to fetch a ball. We will update more after their appointment on Wed. but I wanted to get their cute mugs out there for all to see.

Dakota, our gentle giant! He is a tall thin guy and just so very gentle. He met a family of 4 kids all under the age of 6 and was very good with them. The little ones were afraid of him but he loved them.

He and his sister have free roam while we are gone and they do great, no problems at all.

Dakota loves to play fetch now, his sister is not crazy about it yet! He makes up for her. Dakota would not need a fence, just a tie out at first to learn the boundaries. He listens well when told to come!

Just a great dog to have lay around and be petted.

Dakota had his vet appointment today and everything is good except his ears so he is on meds for that, they will be cleared up in a couple days! All up to date on shots. He weighs 80# and was a really good boy while we were there. He had not been to the vet in a couple years so he got a work over for sure.

Dakota and his sister Bailey 11-327 have been outside dogs and are adjusting very well to being in the house, they go outside to go potty so NO accidents of any kind. They are low key in the house and love to lay around. Dakota is always wondering where I am in the house, he keeps close tabs on me. Loves to give you the Golden paw, sometimes both!!

They do very well at night, do not hear a peep from them. Dakota is learning how to fetch the ball, his sister is not interested at this point.

After spending some time with them, I can see they would really be ok separated from each other, they are very independent and don’t care where or what the other is doing. I had 2 brothers not so long ago that were attached at the hip and I would never have separated them and they did get adopted together. My plan for these two was to adopt them together but we really could go either way!

Dakota did get car sick when he had the long drive to me, but they had fed him breakfast too (only got sick the one time). Today when we went to the vet he had not eaten and he did just fine on the way there and on the way back.
