Duffy 06-184

Profile

4/29/06: Duffy arrived this afternoon. He is a very nice dog. He is absolutely gorgeous, being a dark red with a nice wavy coat....not curly, about 65 pounds, his records indicate he's 13 months old. He has met my not-so-nice resident Golden and has so far submitted. He'll learn to leave him alone entirely. Duffy arrived on this lovely rainy day so introductions were made on the front porch under less than ideal conditions and all went well. I have had him tethered to me so he learns the habits of the house quickly and he has settled in very nicely. He has met the cat and isn't quite sure about her. So far she hasn't hurt him. His tail hasn't stopped wagging since he arrived. He comes when I call him and he sits on command and will down for a second, he isn't really into treats yet...I'll update more after our vet visit early next week....but I know he's already neutered and has recently had a rabies shot so baring any surprises, he should be ready to be adopted in the next few days.

Duffy decided to move to the other side of the river until he finds his forever home. He's at a new foster home because he had some separation anxiety issues (definitely does not like to be crated). No wonder! If you were made to live in an outside kennel & just wanted people love, well, go figure! So far, he is a sweetheart. He has a beautiful, dark red coat, great white teeth, gets along with the resident dog, cat, no accidents, gives you kisses, no inappropriate chewing of things, loves the toy box. He knows sit & come. Haven't heard him bark yet. Duffy is a great dog that needs training (don't we all).... He's all ready for adoption, but only for the perfect family. Let placement know if you're interested. We're off now for some fun in the sun!
