Give a welcome shout out to Eddie, one of RAGOM's newest! He came to our home the evening of Feb 16 and met all the family members. He just paced about an hour sniffing his new surroundings and then fit right into our family!

Eddie became a RAGOM dog because his last family loved him so much that they knew he deserved the golden life and they were not able to give that to him with their schedule. This family loved Eddie and you can tell.

Eddie is all UTD, HW negative and was already microchipped. He did have an x-ray for a possible mass but that came out negative! He could use a good dental cleaning!

Here is what we know about Eddie:

  • He is a 7.5 yr old GR
  • He has a sensitive tummy, we haven’t given him too many treats, unless it is to go into the crate, and eats a certain dog food so his tummy doesn’t get upset. He did get sick once when he just finished drinking and our resident GR and he started playing.
  • He loves his tennis balls, that is if our resident GR doesn’t steal it from him.
  • He is crate-trained, we put a treat in his kennel, say kennel and he walks right in.
  • He is great on the leash and has good recall, though with his age, I am wondering if he may be starting to lose some hearing, because if he is too far in front, his ears don’t perk when you say his name until you get closer.
  • He is great with ALL creatures! He is great with kids, my girls give him hugs every night, along with an occasional ‘fist bump’ to the paw. He does great with our 1.5yr old GR, they play so well together!
  • He knows his commands; sit, stay, down, etc.
  • He does a good morning and time to eat dance, he twirls when you get up and when it is time to eat!
  • He will talk just a bit. He goes to our window and barks once, even when there is nothing there. We laugh every time! He does let you know when someone comes to the door as well.

Hello Eddie Fans!

He has been here for 2 weeks now and has been a dream dog. He is such a sweet boy, he listens, has fantastic recall, he is a pleaser! Eddie is 7.5 yrs old, but he sure doesn’t act like it, he has a lot of spunk!

Again, here is what we know:

  • Eddie does not need a physical fence; he was trained on an invisible fence at one time
  • Completely houstrained
  • Enjoys dogs, but could go to a home with or without another dog
  • Would do great with all ages of children
  • Enjoys his nylabones
  • No resource guarding
  • Loves his ear rubs

Eddie is a great dog and would fit great in YOUR home. Won’t YOU give him the golden life that he deserves! All you have to do is contact your placement advisor.
