Ellie 04-237

Profile

Ellie is doing fantastic. She went to the vet today and is very healthy. She does need to lose a few pounds but we are working on it. She continues to get along well with our dogs and loves everyone she meets. Ellie loves to play ball - she will chase a tennis ball as long as you want to throw it. She knows sit, down, shake and will give hugs. This is one sweetie who has lots of love to give.

Dear Ragom,

It is with great sadness that we need to report the death of our wonderful dog, Ellie #04-237. We adopted her in August 2004 at the age of 7. She spent 6 terrific years with us. We couldn’t have asked for a better dog.

We can’t thank her original family or her foster family enough for letting her be a part of our family.

She will be greatly missed by us, our 2 daughters, and our other golden retriever (her best buddy) Pippin.

Ellie has been here for a little over a week now and couldn't be sweeter. She will be 8 years old in September, but don't let her age fool you. She is a bit more active that the normal 8 year old. She isn't above a good nap though. :0) She gets along well with dogs, cats, and her previous home had a 3 year old, 2 year old and a infant and she was GReat with them.

Ellie loves to sleep in our big crate at night and not a sound out of her. The last couple of nights she has been loose in the house at night and no problem. She is not a barker or big on giving kisses, but is a cuddler at times. Very gentle at taking treats and enjoys a nice car ride. She does love her tennis ball and will go after it with gusto if you throw it for her. She has only one thing I would say she needs to work on, that is, she will run if not in a fenced in area. I think with some work on recall she would be much better, as Ellie loves to be with her family. This girl has a lot of love to give to the right family.
