Guess what everybody—I have my very own family! I have a mom and dad, and I have a brother who is the same age and the very same size and color as me. You should see us play!
My new family is so excited that I live to play fetch. Murphy, my new brother, isn’t into it so I can’t wait to show him what he's been missing! Here are some pictures of me in my new home with my new brother Murphy.
Foster Mom here: Ellie Mae’s new family had some work commitments so that meant she got to stay with us a couple of weeks after her sibling Eli 18-165 went home with his new family. It was interesting to see her fully immerse herself with the resident pack. She didn't miss a beat—she actually relaxed quite a bit after he left.
She filled our home with warmth and joy, and found a place in our hearts with those sensitive eyes and constant smile. Now she’ll share that amazing light with her new family. Please join me in wishing the family and Ellie Mae the very, very best!

Ellie Mae is a beautiful, spunky 2-year-old White Labrador Retriever. She’s upbeat, loves to have fun, and approaches everything with gusto. She had her vet wellness appointment and is up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. She weighs 72 pounds and is in perfect health.
Ellie Mae came to RAGOM with her brother Eli 18-165 from a family who had major changes to their home situation. We are so thankful they trusted us to find their precious dogs new homes.
Miss Ellie is like a cartoon dog when I practice commands. She always has this super sweet smile, and she is 100% all-in, ready to engage and learn. She is housebroken, and there has been no resource guarding at all.
She lives for retrieving balls and is incredibly agile when we play fetch—it is a joy to watch. She also is really tuned into her sense of smell, and she’d love a family who would regularly take her on outings and hikes where she could explore all kinds of sights and sounds.
Her challenges: She needs work with her manners. I think she is used to pushing her way around. I wouldn’t say she is an alpha dog, just needs some clear parameters and leadership.
She had never walked on a leash when she first got here, so she pulled like a freight train. I introduced her to a Gentle Leader and that is helping. I am also practicing some impulse control stuff like having her wait at doorways until she is released to go through. These things are all helping a ton. She is a really good listener.
