Vegas is a 10 week old male Golden Retriever Newfoundland mix found on the side of the road. He is the sweetest pup ever and already knows sit, down, up, leave it and another cool trick my daughter taught him. He is good with other dogs and gets along wonderfully with our cats. He absolutely adores people and just wants attention all the time; he loves to play especially in the leaves! J But after, he loves to snuggle up with you.

We were very surprised when he came to us because of how calm he was. The calmness is probably from the Newfoundland side. He is already 21 pounds at ten weeks so we're estimating he is probably going to be around 110 pounds or so. But who wouldn’t want a giant teddy bear? Well I got to go, he is begging to play at my feet right now so bye and enjoy the pictures!!

Hi Ii am very very sorry for the delay but Vegas aka Elvis is now adopted by us of course! Now I am just going to tell you about him . . . he is amazing, everyone says he is just so cute and the coloring is amazing because at first glance he is just black but if you take another look he has an undercoat of brown and the brown starts shimmering in the sun! Elvis is very playful and exciting but sometimes to the other dogs he seems like an annoying nat so if we just FOSTER another puppy in the summer he will know what it feels like and will get a taste of his own medicine! He is still sleeping in my bed, it's so funny when I am watching Animal Planet and he hears the sounds of dogs and runs to the front door to see if our neighbor dog Cleo came over for a playdate which always happens. Elvis is now at a big weight of about 60 pounds - yikes , he isn't even full grown yet. Some of you probably saw him at last year's Goldzilla as a baby pup, he will be going this summer and you probably won't be able to guess it's him, actually you probably will because he looks like a blown up picture of his puppy self, so cute! Anyone going to the Twin Cities Pet Expo this Saturday and Sunday? If so keep an eye out for a boxy faced black pup or, as I like to call him, my little man! Keep up those votes at The Animal Rescue Site in hopes that we will win!

Before I go Elvis would like to say something!

These are two pictures of Elvis, one about a week after we got him and the other the day before Christmas - big difference! I know they are already on the website but this way you can see how much he's grown back to back! We will send out a happy endings soon.

Sorry for the delay but we have been waiting to get him neutered to finalize the adoption process and the vet that we are staying with won't do it until 6 months of age but he is sticking with us whether he likes it or not, which I can tell he does!! J

He has made so many new friends and is weighing in at around 35 pounds but won’t get over 65. He is a doll and is kind of making friends with our cats Bam and Cheddar who taught him his lesson right away when he came in. Our neighbor who we used to have her little pup (now full grown) would come over here before we had this guy. Her pup has been all grown up now so Elvis (fka Vegas) got his vest, so adorable!!!! He loves the snow but will almost always wreck the snow forts! And the vest is helping with this huge blizzard.

He sleeps in bed always and has his own little stuffed animal that he won't chew but for the others it's bye bye for them. He is 100% potty and crate trained and loves going in his crate with a nice little kong, so far he hasn’t chewed up anything except for a Vaseline container and one decoration for the tree!!

He is so adorable and his feathering is coming in on his jet black coat!! I got to go though because Vegas, or we have been calling him Elvis or the nickname Little Man, is getting anxious! I will send in more pictures every week!! Before I let you go I went upstairs to check on Elvis and... make that 5 decorations chewed! Good luck in the blizzard!
