Hi, my name is Emily.  I am a timid and shy girl, and it has taken me time to get used to my new surroundings.  I like my foster fur siblings here, we play and wrestle.  I also like the foster cats here too.  So yes I am cat tested and approved.

I had a  great check up at the vet, except I have Lymes disease, in which I am taking antibiotics for, for a couple of weeks. I weigh 42 lbs, but I am fast!!  I love to run and play.  I am starting to eat better, and be more comfortable here.  I love to ride in the car too.  I sleep good at night and have earned free roam of the house, even while FM is at work. Apparently someone told FM I chewed something I wasn't supposed to in my previous home while they were gone, I think I just got bored.

FM is still trying to figure out exactly what I need  in my new home.  So far I need someone that is committed to obedience, kids over about 8yo would be good.  I will let you know more as FM figures me out.  I startle easily with loud or different noises. I love people and have the typical "golden nudge" if I want something, even to be scratched.  I would do great with agility training too. FM says I am such a sweet girl, she would love me to stay, but I told her there are a lot more dogs that need a place to hang their leash, so I will eventually find my own family to love me as much as she does. Emily

ADOPTED!

Hi everyone, this is Emily and I have fantastic news!  I have found my furrever home.  and you know what? It is right here with Snowie and Sammie (and of course my kitty friends here too).  I am such a lucky girl!

I start "school" on Monday for obedience and then after that I am going to try flyball or agility.  Now doesn't that sound like fun!  The springs in my feet just never slow down.  Mom says she will also take me to work with her once I graduate from school and I get to go camping this summer..  What more could I ask for?

Thank you to RAGOM for taking me in and finding my furrever family, I am so grateful. Thank you to Cindy J- our foster mentor- you are great!

If you are looking for a dog like me, contact your placement advisor, because there are so many dogs looking for a furrever home.  I will update you again after I graduate from obedience, so watch for me on the "Happy Endings" page...... Oh I am so excited as you can see by my pictures....  I am finally home furrever!!

I am so excited!!

I see agility in my future....

Happy Spring everyone. Emily bouncing in for a quick update. I have really settled in here and sometimes I manage to find a little trouble. That’s to be expected. To date, I have been so good but this week the devil was really poking me and I found myself in a little bit of trouble. I want to add that I did not go into this mission solo. I had the help of Snowie and Sammie (resident dogs). Who knows? I told FM Sadie and Snickers (resident cats) could have been involved too. She came home and walked into a “sea of white”. If it had not been 60 degrees out FM would have been convinced it had snowed. Darn. We picked the wrong day to be adventurous. Who knows, she might have bought that story otherwise. FM is still puzzled as to what we tore apart. No stuffed animal carcass to be found and you know we aren’t talking!  We were just re-decorating.  I am just a youngster and you know I have boundless energy. FM is so very jealous of this. She keeps saying I should do something constructive with it. What does that mean?  :)

I still have bad manners and like to jump up on people when I am very excited and while FM tries really hard to work with me on this, it is just so hard to be good sometimes. Besides FM has Snowie and Sammie too. I confess I do need obedience and I need someone who has the time to work with me. I am a petite little girl and will reward you many times over for making me the best girl possible. You will be so proud of me. I have learned how to sit and lay down though.

If you have another dog that likes to play, and some time to spend with me, I might be the newest member of your family. If you have a cat or 2 that is a huge plus. Only spunky ones need to apply as I don't mind a swat on the nose, it is my cue that it is playtime with the cats.  :)  I know Sadie, the cat, loves me even though her hiss is comes off so mean. I guess I interpret that differently.

I’m ready to move on, even though FM will miss me a lot. I’m petite enough to fit in an Easter basket. Contact your placement advisor if you have a basket just big enough for me to fit in!

Stayed tuned - Miss Emily

YAY!!  I think spring might FINALLY be right around the corner. Miss Emily here. FM is soo very busy with 3 dogs and 2 cats and she thinks she needs a job too.:) Really, there is just not enough hours in the day for all of those things.

I am a very sweet girl and have adjusted well to living here. I no longer am that shy and timid girl except for meeting new people.  I might be initially shy and timid when I find my new forever home.  I am feeling very comfortable and so more and more of my bad habits are coming out (so to speak). Not that they are really bad, I am just young, energetic and really really need some obedience training. FM says it is a must. I can jump sooooooooo high, no need for a trampoline for me. It’s like I have springs on all 4 legs. I am very playful and would love and appreciate another young dog to share my energy with. I think I would be ok with older kids, but need someone who has the time to devote to me to make me the best dog possible. FM says I have so much potential and am so petite. I have no resource guarding and really do not chew anything that is inappropriate. I will rip up a tennis ball or 2 or stuffed dog toys but they are easily replaced and I don’t swallow them after doing so. You just need to know that I might need some picking up after. And cats? I love them. But they will have to equally love me. If you have an older, crotchety cat, they might find me annoying. I love to play their games and if they don’t tend to play, I might try to show them the way!

FM says I am ready to move on. I am a very nice girl that gets along with everyone. If you are looking for a really nice girl and have the time to devote to a new member of your family, pick me! I aim to please and would love to have a family of my own.

Please contact your placement advisor if you would like to meet me. Maybe even a phone conversation with my FM. I guarantee she will do a lot of bragging.

Enjoy my new pictures.

I love the snow!
