Emma 10-209

Profile

Hello RAGOM world! Please welcome Emma! J Ms. Emma is a 6 month old puppy that was saved from a puppy mill in Iowa. She came in with her sister Tess.

Emma made the long trip from Iowa to Western Mn last Sunday to start her new furever life. She was a little nervous and somewhat skittish, but she is quickly getting away from that in her new life! J She met the resident dogs without a problem; in fact she was really excited to meet them!

Emma is a BEAUTIFUL red golden girl. FD and FM instantly fell in love with her. Just look at the pictures and you will too! As you can see in one of the pictures all three golden girls get along quite well J Makes it hard to find a spot in bed! haha

She has been taken to the vet and updated on all her shots and she does have dirty ears, but other than that she is in great shape. Her spay surgery will be the first week in August.

For a 6 month old puppy that has not lived in a house, she has only had one accident and that was FM and FD’s fault for not letting her out when she was pacing. At least it was on the linoleum ;) She is a quick learner! She is not sure about toys, but she sees the others playing and quickly catches on to what they are doing. She loves to run and play outside with the others, and she listens very well.

She is in a chewing phase right now. We are teaching her about Kong’s and she really likes them! J

Ms. Emma will need another dog in her new home to continue showing her the ways of her new golden life. She will need lots of puppy love and kisses. She gets along fine with our cats. She is somewhat shy yet, I would say that if she were to live in a city she would need a fence. In a country setting, I don’t believe she would need one.

Emma will make someone’s home very happy. She just has that effect on you J

A few weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to our sweet Emma. It was a very sad day and many tears and reflection over these last few weeks.

Emma became part of our family on November 7, 2010. She was 11 months old and had been fostered by an amazing couple.

I remember the day I got the call from the foster mom that we could come meet Emma. I was so excited. We made the 17-hour round trip and brought Emma home. She was scared so I sat in the back seat and held her paw all the way home. As soon as she got to her forever home, she met her best buddy, our dog Hunter.

It took a few months to earn Emma's trust, but when we did, she couldn’t get enough of our love, attention, and affection.

We added another RAGOM puppy to our family and Emma and Lipdin became so close. Emma loved all dogs, and when we introduced a cat to the family, they too were buddies.

She was the sweetest dog we have ever had. She trusted few in her world, but for those she did trust she gave them so much every single day.

Emma’s years with us were filled with simple things. She loved walks, laying on the couch next to her humans, spending time with her 4-legged friends, and getting attention from those she trusted.

I am thankful to my dog groomer, who introduced me to RAGOM, Emma's foster parents for picking us to be her pet parents, RAGOM for doing what you do best, giving goldens a 2nd chance, and to have 10 ½ years to love such an amazing girl.

Emma, we all miss you so much and you are forever in our hearts and on our minds.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Emma is still a fun loving puppy! I have attached a couple of pictures of Emma trying to "carve" a pumpkin. :)

Emma is full of life...still cautious of it, but loving it! :)

We are working on the "come" command right now :) It's going to be a work in progress that is for sure.

We have discovered that Emma loves to play with snow! We had a pretty good storm Tuesday night into wednesday and she wanted to jump in what snow we did have :) We lost power that night and so we all snuggled in bed with a Coleman lantern for light for awhile. What a snuggle bug.

Emma is a wonderful dog and we love watching her grow day by day.

Enjoy the pictures!

Hello Emma fans! :)

Little Ms. Emma is doing wonderful! She is such a playful little puppy. I love watching her play with all the other dogs in the house.

We are still working on new introductions to people. She is a little shy when she meets new people, but she does warm up to them after awhile :)

It is quit funny watching her when FD comes to bed after FM has been in bed. She can be sound asleep, but when she hears him open the door, she is up and doing a puppy bark at him. :) She is so silly, she does it a couple of times and then she realizes who it is and wags her tail, get's her pets in and then goes back to sleep :)

She is doing great after her spay and her wormer is all done. It has been so warm around here this last weekend (and humid!) that I had bought a kiddie pool for everyone to play in. She LOVES the kiddie pool and water, she is so playful!

Emma is going to make someone a very happy home. She will be a great dog. She wants to learn all the time, but she is still a puppy and wants to play too! :) She will need a home with another dog or 2 :) She loves to cuddle in bed with us at night, but she will sleep at the end of the bed after her cuddle time. Such a sweetie.

I hope you enjoy the new pictures! :)
