Etta and her siblings are almost 7 weeks old. They are growing, playing, and doing fabulously in their foster home. Etta and her brothers are big pups! I hypothesize that because Erika has a small litter this time, she has big puppies. Mom is about 70 lbs, so I do not anticipate them to be huge Goldens and I think their growth will slow down as they mature.
The puppies are being weaned from their momma and are eating 3 meals of dry kibble with a tablespoon or so of wet food per day. They had a stool sample checked last week and were positive for Giardia, an intestinal parasite. They were treated with a 3-day course of dewormer and once completely weaned, will be treated with an antibiotic/antiparasitic and retested to make sure the parasite is gone.
Etta is a little spitfire. She and her brother Evan are always the first getting into the action. She is also sweet, cuddly, and loves attention from people! Etta is going to be meeting a very special family in a couple weeks. She is very excited to get to know them and hopefully, she will be the new little girl in their lives.
