Eunice (Christine 07-018)

Profile

2/4/07: Christine has arrived safely after two days of traveling to get to foster care. Chrissy came from South Dakota and was found as a stray by the shelter. She was treated at the shelter for a nasty case of kennel cough, which was clearing up nicely. This girl is absolutely a doll. Very curly blonde hair, chocolate eyes with just the right amount of eye liner. Chrissy is about 6 months old and not spayed yet, so tomorrow I'll be scheduling that and a complete checkup to make sure her infection is gone.

Today she met our three children ages 11, 10 and 6 and loves them. She is gentle and sweet and willing to follow them anywhere they go. She takes treats nicely. She lay in bed quietly during story time and is now snuggling up with the girls.

She also met the four resident dogs and our other foster, Zuchie (06452), and with the exception of some minor posturing, it was very uneventful. She is being crated for the time being until we get to know her better. She seems to be OK with that.

Pictures coming soon. Don't wait. Call Placement for this wonderful young girl.

Let me introduce you to little Christine, also has been called Sota (short for Minnesota).  Christine, or as I call her Chrissy, is a beautiful, petite Golden that has come back to Ragom.  Chrissy was having some issues with being too reactive and her family wanted her to come back into Ragom to find a more appropriate home to live in.  Christine is by no means an aggressive dog nor an alpha dog.  She is a young dog that is not comfortable in new situations and needs to learn what kind of behavior is appropriate.  That job well be mine and my dogs.  We will show her how to play, how to meet other dogs and people, and what is appropriate and what is unacceptable.Christine is about 10 months old, not knowing for sure as she came from a shelter in South Dakota as a stray.  She is spayed and up to date on her shots, has been heartworm tested and microchipped.  All we have to do now is find the right home for this little cutie......
