HI Friends!!! Look who’s back in RAGOMland!!! Yes—it’s Princess Fancy Pants!!!!
Fancy was adopted out a few months ago to a wonderful family, but for reasons we are unsure of, Miss Fancy Pants was not happy and communicated her unhappiness by pottying in the house. As her foster family, we only experienced 2 potty accidents in our home the first couple days when Fancy first arrived from the farm (having lived in a barn previously) but zero after that and zero since she’s been back with us---now 6 days. We know doggies communicate in different ways, and when a potty-trained dog starts pottying in the home, something is not right. So, having ruled out any medical issues, and keeping Fancy’s best interests in mind, her new family returned her to RAGOM so that she could find a home that she would feel more comfortable and happy in. We thank them for doing so and since Fancy has been back, she has returned to the happy-go-lucky, lover girl we knew her to be.
First stop---Cuddle time and Kisses with Foster Dad

Second stop---Hugs with a new friend and Doggie Playdates

Fancy in the Middle: Fancy’s tail rarely stops waggin’
Third stop---Gather up the “babies”---Thank you T&J Family for all the babies!

Ahhhh….Life is back to normal…Fancy’s “normal” anyways.
Fancy moved right back into our home and our schedule as if she had never left---greeted the crew happily, hugged all the 2-leggers and jumped up on the couch and made herself comfortable at home.

Fancy has not demonstrated any of the anxiety or potty issues she had at her adoptive home. We don’t know if the stress was due to a personality conflict with Fancy and the resident dog or a member of the family, or simply the stress felt by not fitting in? Either way…we know she knows what makes her happy and we will help her in her search for Happily Ever After…
Fancy’s Pathetic “Please Pet Me” look—it sure worked on the guests at Petco on Sunday!

Here's what we know about Fancy Girl...
Fancy is a pretty simple dog.
She wants to be where her people are.
If you are in the bathroom, she wants to be there with you.
If you are raking the leaves, she wants to be there with you.
If you are working on the computer, she will gladly keep you feet warm.
If you are enjoying a cup of coffee on the couch, she wants to enjoy the moment with you.
If you want to take a walk, she wants to go with you.
If you have to go to work---she’s ok with that. She will wait until you get home and then your little shadow will return.
What makes Fancy unhappy:
If she knows you are home---she does not like to be separated from you by a closed door. She wants to be in whatever room you are in or be able to see you. She does not like to be left outside without her people…this is from her past---she lived in a barn for 9 years separated from the family---she wants nothing more in the world than to be with the family and wants to “do life together” with her people. Fancy wants to know she’s loved and cherished at all times and in return, she will be your very best friend in the world —“until death do us part.”
What makes Fancy happy:
A home that is low key and consistent--maybe a nice retired couple or empty nesters or single person would be great!
Owners that adore her---people she can love and that love to have her around & underfoot.
Having her face held, being touched and brushed and cuddled with. She loves a sweet voice!
No small children (too active we think for Fancy) and either fence or no fence.
Owners that are home more than not—we are gone 6-7 hrs and she is ok with that
We believe she needs another dog---mostly for when the 2-legger is gone, but she definitely prefers people. Fancy gets along just great with our dogs—she’s always had another dog present—living with her sister in the barn for 9 years before coming into RAGOM. She does not like young, hyper, in-your-face dogs---they must remind her of motherhood.
More to come on Princess Fancy Pants as we continue in the search for her Prince Charming and "Happily Ever After"...but for now...we are lucky to have her happy, little, funny, white face and beautiful personality with us! What a little love bug!
