**Waiting List**

Ladies and Gentleman have we got a puppy for you! RAGOM has recently been able to welcome Flash to our group of wonderful dogs looking for forever homes. Flash is an amazing, healthy 8 month old pure bred Golden Retriever male, which does make him a "waitlist" dog. He has so much to offer. He is overflowing with love and playfulness and his loyalty is already showing through at this young age. He is smart and respectful. Flash gets along well with other dogs and one of his best friends was a cat.As far as children go... Flash loves them! He was raised with a 4 and 6 year old. Flash comes to us by no fault of his own but due to a job loss.

Flash is up to date on his vaccinations and is scheduled to be neutered on Thursday 2-18-10. Right now I am approximating him at about 50 pounds.

Some things that will need to be taken into consideration with Flash are:

-Flash was raised with a doggie door so he needs a little extra attention payed to when he needs to go outside. He is doing spectacular so far!

- Flash has had free roam of his house and has not had much exposure to crates. He loves being with his people at all times day and night.

- Flash would benefit from obedience training as he has had minimal experience with a leash although he does know a few basic commands.

- Flash could also use some work on car rides. This is minimal and can be worked on. He just gets nervous and tends to shake a little. Nothing some positive reinforcement shouldn't help.

Although Flash is 8 months old he is still very much a puppy and he is very eager to learn and wants to be your best friend yet he has conquered some of the most difficult road blocks including potty training, chewing and socialization.

You will see in the pictures just how much Flash loves the snow! He will lay in it and bury his nose and flip it up. He is just a doll! Also because he is used to a fenced yard we have been using a long lead when taking him outside but he has not tried to run at all. Like I said he is very smart and very loyal.

Flash has been in our home for about 5 days now and is doing very well.He had a bit of an issue keeping his sutures in after his neuter surgery but is now healing up well.    We have been keeping him in a pen with very little activity while he has been healing.  He is wearing a LARGE cone and as hard as it is to get around and not getting any exercise; he is handling it very well.  He is scheduled to have his staples out on Monday.

I have been hand feeding him with his cone on and he eats very slow and is not upset if I take it away or pet him while he is eating.  He sits and takes treats very gently.  He is completely housebroken and will paw at the door to go out or come back in.

He desperately wants to play with my 2 female goldens and can't wait until we have the go ahead from the vet to let him loose.  At his other foster home, he was around 4 kids and did great with them.  I have a cat and Flash doesn't chase him so I think he would be ok with cats.

Flash is still very young and energetic.  He will need exercise and proper obedience training to ensure he continues to grow into a well behaved dog.

Here is quick picture without the cone-he is very cute!!
