Gabby has been adopted. She now has four people (two parents, as well as two older teenagers) to dote on her. She lives with one dog (a Golden who has lots of spunk) and a cat. And she has a nicely fenced yard to roam in, as well as lots of walks in her future.
I'd say she hit the jackpot when these people fell in love with her. Initial reports are that all is going well.

She loves to be with her pack. She loves to play but isn't nuts when she plays. She walks nicely and continues to just be a nice dog all around.
She knows commands (no credit here; she came that way). She has a very Golden-type personality and isn't very Poodle-y at all. She will need regularly scheduled haircuts because her hair is the Poodle-iest part about her. She has free run of our house unless nobody is home, then she's kenneled. She goes right in.
She does cower down when you reach for her, so I've learned to use commands versus leading her, and she does just fine.

Gabby has settled into our home like she’s been here her whole life. The funniest thing she does is empty the toy box every chance she gets. One toy at a time gets dragged out and played with for a moment, and then she goes back to the toy box for something new.
This morning she and my young boy chased around the yard for quite a while. She got tired before he did (no surprise) and ran to the door. This was the first time she’s actually engaged one of my dogs.
We have two hounds visiting for the weekend and she met them nicely and so far has just watched them play with my two younger dogs. There’s been lots of interested sniffing, but no playing.

Gabby came from a family that had too many dogs. It is obvious that she was loved and raised well. She knows basic commands and is housebroken. She is crated when nobody is home, but she has already earned freedom the rest of the time.
I also think she came from a more rural situation and not an urban area so she's having a crash course in city living... and we live in a very busy part of St. Paul.
Gabby is now living with three dogs and two cats and is fine with all of them.
We went to the vet on Tuesday and was deemed healthy, although a bit chubby. They called today and she has no parasites and is heartworm free. She now is microchipped.
She wasn't thrilled about getting into the car, but once in, she was fine. She was quite nervous at the vet but allowed them to do whatever they wanted. Today, she met some neighbors and was quite hesitant around them as well.
Gabby is very mild mannered. She is very social once she knows you and is even more social when another dog is around. She has a lot to learn but since she seems to have been nicely socialized as a pup, she should blossom in whatever type home she goes to.
She has found the toy box and loves to empty it and she does not guard things. She does not pick up inappropriate items or counter surf.
Gabby is looking for a home that will help her gain confidence at her own pace. I'll update more in a few days as we get to know her better.
