Gabe has had a great weekend with us. We have learned more and more about him and there just is nothing not to love about this boy :) He is very much a puppy, and doesn't have much for manners or training, but that isn't his fault, and he is more than willing and able to learn all of the things that will help him become a great dog! He has a great amount of energy... he is playful, active, and fun like a puppy should be... but he isn't bouncing off the walls crazy, like some puppies can be! He really does love to snuggle and be close to his people. He walks really well on a leash for a guy his age, I am impressed (and a little jealous!) my resident dogs could learn some things about leash walking from Gabe! He loooves to go for walks! He would make a great walking partner, and probably a great jogging partner... once he grows up! Gabe took a trip to Grandma and Grandpa's over the weekend, he met their two dogs without an issue. My parents just loved him!!! I think if they were thinking of adopting a dog at this time, Gabe would be IT. My dad could not get over is cute face!! He is one of the cutest puppies I have ever seen. His face is priceless. Gabe will be going in for his neuter surgery tomorrow. (Shhhhh!!) I have one concern that I will have the vet check out tomorrow. He has a wide stance, and his back legs are bowed. He sways from side to side when he walks and I am concerned about his hips. However, with that said... he doesn't show any pain, doesn't have any trouble with our stairs, wood floors, he plays and runs and never shows any problems so... it may just be paranoid foster mom! It will be good to just have the vet take a peak, and take x-rays if needed, he will be sleeping for surgery anyway. I am really not anticipating a problem, but check back in tomorrow, I will update more as I know more. This cutie pie has charmed us in only a few days, it is easy as can be to fall in love with him. He is on his third home already in his very, very young life :( ... his 4th home will be forever for him, he deserves that so much. He will need patience, understanding, training, and lots and lots of LOVE in his forever home. Other than those few things I think he could fit in almost anywhere :) He sure has melted his way into our hearts and our home! Thanks for checking in with Gabe (the cute one)! Keep him in your thoughts for his surgery tomorrow :)
Always smilin'
Look at that FACE!
