Hi Bonnie and all others with the brothers and sisters of my Wrigley.
Wrigley continues to grow like a weed. He had his 2nd check up at the vet a couple weeks ago and the vet was amazed at his size...25 pounds at 13 weeks. He speculated he could be 100 lbs. when fully grown. One thing I have noticed is how long his legs are.
I have attached two pictures...one from when he was probably 9 or 10 weeks old and trying to check out the cat Sophie. At that time he could not reach her there. Now his nose is right on level with the cat's stoop. Wrigley and Sophie are starting to get along. Wrigley is curious and wants to play while Sophie has gotten bolder and now will confront him but when push comes to shove the cat bolts for the basement as Wrigley prefers not to challenge the stairs. I have not encouraged him to do so either so the cat at least has a safe haven for now :) The other picture was taken last week at this time.
Wrigley has not had an accident in the house in almost 3 weeks now. While I certainly would not let him roam by himself for any length of time he does let me know if he wants out now so a definite bonus. He enjoys retrieving but also enjoys wrestling with his toys too...he is still a chewer though he has not destroyed anything of significance in the house. Wrigley is pretty good around me but when someone new comes over he is pretty nuts. He likes to lick, nibble, and jump. All in all he seems to be getting better in all phases though. I am confident the biting and chewing will go away with age...biggest concern is the jumping but he seems to be getting better with that too.
All in all he is a great dog and companion.
