Welcome to RAGOM and welcome to Minnesota, Ginger!  Ginger arrived to us on Sunday, December 29th .  She came all the way from Kentucky with her “sister” Amber 12-240.  Both dogs were surrendered to a high kill shelter and had their appointment with the ‘euthenizer’, until some amazing rescuers stepped in.  There are just so many people that need to be thanked, and I’d like to start with whoever pulled these 2 out of the shelter.  THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.  Thank you also to Pennies-4-Paws Inc and Toni K. who played a major role in saving these girls and getting them to MN!  And of course every other volunteer who helped in one way or another!  Thank you!

Ginger turned one on Dec 21st , just a few days before arriving at our home.  We know that she is a golden mix and weighs in at only 29 pounds!  Here she is with our resident Golden, Buddy:

We have fostered many dogs the past year.  We have loved each and every one of them, and they have all left their paw prints on our hearts.  But from the moment Miss Ginger jumped out of Peter’s car (thank you, Peter, for bringing her to us ;) and gave us her first slobbery kiss, we knew she was home.  She is as smart and sweet as she is adorable!  We have become official members of the ‘foster failure’ club, and Miss Ginger is in her FURever home!  She has been given a middle name and is now called, “Ginger Zoey” in memory of our sweet foster Zoey 12-187 that was taken from us way too soon when she crossed the Rainbow Bridge this summer.

And of course, THANK YOU to RAGOM for completing our family!

Our little Ginger Zoey (Yes, she has a middle name!  Her middle name comes from our foster, Zoey, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge when she was with us) continues to bring us joy every single day.  We were Ginger’s foster family and knew she was ours the minute she got out of the car at our house.  She is something special.  She LOVES kids and her main purpose in life is to smother you with kisses.  We are so thankful she entered our lives, and so incredibly thankful to everyone who saved her from being euthanized at her shelter in Kentucky.

Ginger LOVES comfort and will snuggle up to anything soft.

My son wasn’t feeling the best on this day and Ginger snuggled up next to him for comfort.
