Hello,

My name is Kathryn S. and in the summer of 2002, I rescued dog #02-170, named Cotton at that time.  She is/was a golden retriever-collie mix. She lived with me and my family in Rochester, MN until October 2016 when I moved to Washburn, WI.  She was easy to train and very well behaved always.

She had many trips in the car - not her favorite - but she got to go to “The Lake” in Minocqua, WI every summer on a regular basis and enjoyed swimming or wading in the water.  She loved boat rides.  She never jumped off the dock.

Since her puppy days, she was docile and ever so sweet.  She was my third golden and was the smartest and sweetest and calmest of them all - probably the collie in her.  As per her original description, she continued to love rawhide bones but gave those up about two years ago.  Her fur remained like cotton - more like angora - and was always with us everywhere in the house, our food, our eyelashes.

Ginger turned 15 in April and has been really slowing down in the last 6 months.  She is having trouble standing long enough to eat, poops only in the house and when she is sleeping rather than outside - highly uncharacteristic of her, is losing interest in food, has difficulty getting off the floor, and will only take short walks.  She sleeps most of the time.

I have decided it is time to put her to rest and that is scheduled for July 27.

She has had lots and lots of love throughout her life - a successfully rescued dog!

Thank you RAGOM!

Kate
