Shanna’s puppies are doing well - there are 6 girls and 4 boys.  We lost the 5th boy during delivery.  These pups do not have names yet, but very soon they will.  The puppies weighed in at .75 to 1 pound.

Toes 07-277 is also pictured here with Shanna and her puppies because she is one of them now and she weighs 1.6 pounds.

These puppies will be ready to go home around June 24th – if you are interested in meeting them please email placementatragom [dot] org.  I will start individual updates at the end of May, but if you would like to talk about them, we can do that!

Nutmeg is doing great and her mom and dad are having a great time with her.  She is thriving and sleeping really well with dad.  When Nutmeg went to the vet on Thursday she weighed in at 8 pounds even.

All the puppies went home today because they got Coccidia last week and really the only way to get rid of this nasty worm is to keep the area very clean and make sure the puppies do not lick each other, step on the poop and other things that are really hard to control with 9 very active puppies.  So the vet suggested we let the puppies go home since they are all HUGE and doing very well.

So we gave our instructions to all the new parents and told them to love our puppies.   I miss them already!

Ginger is doing great and showing her true colors.  Now if she would just show them to her new mom and dad.  Of course when they are visiting she is just this perfect angel.  I just have to laugh because she will be bossing them around.  You know how you can just tell when the dog is in charge.  Char and Tim love this little girl so much; she definitely has them wrapped around her paw, just where she wants them!

Char brought Grandma over to meet Ginger this past weekend.  The meeting went well thank goodness, because Grandma is going to have some babysitting duties while mom and dad are at work.  Char actually left her family rib feast to come and visit!  The best part of her leaving the rib fest, she brought our family some ribs!!!!

Ginger is going to be ready to head to her new home around June 20th.

Nutmeg – Ginger – Turns 4 weeks tomorrow!  Can you believe it?  I can’t, these guys are great puppies and now they are working on potty training.  We built them a little puppy ramp so they can get out the door and on to the deck.  It is so fun!!!

If the puppies can eat outside they have their meals in the great outdoors and than like clock work, everyone potties!  Yep it’s true; we stay outside until every one finish their business, than we bring them in so we can hose down the area.  Once that is done if they are still playing we will bring them back out to play for a while.  This is morning two, of a clean pen when we got up in the morning!  I just love that!  Lots of little pee spots but that is so easy to clean up while they are eating, no piles to clean is awesome!  These guys are the best pups around.

Okay enough of the bragging – we have so much to cover with these little guys.  Ginger went to the vet and weighed in at 3.75 pounds.  Dr. L. thought she was doing great!  She got another dose of de-wormer and won’t be seen now until she is 7 weeks to get micro chipped and given her first set of shots.

Ginger would like to give a great big thank you to her sponsor Gail and Ben Harris.  Thank you so much for caring about RAGOM and their dogs.  We could not do this without you and your support!

Nutmeg has found her forever home and will be joining Char, Tim and Andrew in a few short weeks – well 4 weeks to be exact.  Nutmeg is doing well and eating lots of mush and seems to enjoy it.  Nutmeg is by far one of the cuddly bugs of the group.  Nutmeg loves getting into your hands and falling asleep in the oddest positions.

Nutmeg's new name will be Ginger, we call her Ginger 2 because we have two Gingers now!  Ginger will continue on the good food and continue to grow.  Ginger and all the pups will be heading to the vet on Friday to get check out again and make sure we do not have any more nasty worms.

Ginger would like to thank everyone for thinking about her and wanting to adopt her, but she thinks she found the best family around!  Thank you!!!

Nutmeg is doing great and is growing by leaps and bounds.  We went to the vet yesterday and she now weighs 1.3 pounds which is the one of the smaller puppies.  She received her first dose of de-wormer and the vet said her heart and lungs sound great and there are no signs of a heart murmur.  Yea for Nutmeg!

Nutmeg is doing wonderful with bottle feeding and she also loves to try and get milk from mom.  When it happens we are very happy, but when the puppies are crying and trying to get milk we know we have to help.

Nutmeg will go back to the vet in a few weeks to get another dose of de-warmer and than she won’t go back until she is 7 weeks for shots and micro chipping.

Nutmeg (girl pup), is the Tenth to be born of 11 pups.  She made her way into this world at the emergency clinic in Apple Valley.  Dahlila was born on 4/29 at 3:33 via C-Section in the Morning.  Nutmeg will always have a Yellow collar on when we take pictures.

Nutmeg was born at just under 1 pound she was one of the larger pups and she can her own against her brothers and sisters, Nutmeg weighs 1.2 pounds currently.  Nutmeg HATES formula so getting her enough food is always a chore.

Thanks for checking on Nutmeg – she will be ready at the end of June for adoption.

Shanna pups are doing great – I just have one picture of where they all go when we have to bring Shanna out – as you can see this won’t last much longer – they are already out growing one basket!  Everyone weighs over 1 pound now which is great news.  Now we just have to keep things going in the right direction.
