Gracie came into RAGOM when her days as a commercial breeder dog were over. Gracie is a smaller-sized Golden and has been successfully treated for heartworms. She is gradually adjusting to life in a home and learning many new things. Because of her background, children must be age 10+. Gracie requires another confident dog to follow and learn from. She must have a physical fence to keep her safe. Gracie needs a calm, patient family to help her grow into a confident house dog.

Sweet Gracie has found the perfect family to love and cherish her forever. Her new parents are retired and will be home with her every day. She has a furry best buddy who will watch over her, play with her, and continue teaching her what home and family life is all about.

We will miss you, Gracie, but we know you will continue to blossom with all of the love your new family has for you.

Hello to all the Gracie fans out there! Gracie is doing so well after her spay surgery.

Gracie’s personality absolutely blossoms with each passing day. She is so playful and such a happy little girl. At 2½ years old, she is just beginning to enjoy what life has in store for her.

She loves everyone she meets, taking walks, playing with other dogs, exploring and romping in her yard, sniffing noses with the neighbor dogs, taking car rides, and learning new things.

She is looking forward to having another playful dog to share a home with and having a family to call her own.

Great news for Miss Gracie—she is heartworm free! We are so proud of how brave and patient she was during her 4-month treatment. It is wonderful to see how playful she has become now that she is feeling great!

Gracie has been a busy girl lately. She had a “vacation” at another foster’s home while her foster family was out of town. She enjoyed the companionship of their two Goldens, and we were told she was a very good girl.

She also accompanied Foster Mom on her first home visit. She met a very nice Golden named Chase, and she was officially cat-tested, passing with flying colors.

Now that Gracie’s heart is healthy, she will have her spay surgery next Monday, October 14.

Hello—it’s Gracie! I thought I better help Foster Mom with her update about ME.

I was so disappointed I had to miss Goldzilla last weekend. I know it would have been so much fun, but since I’d had my last heartworm treatment on Friday, I had to stay home and rest. Even though I have a few more weeks of exercise restriction, Foster Mom tells me we can begin searching for my forever family soon.

Here are some fun things I can tell you about me:

  • I love people.
  • I get along great with other dogs.
  • I sniff noses through the fence with the cats that live next door (I think they like me!).
  • I am respectful of everything in the house.
  • I love my meals and sit beautifully for treats.
  • I have no anxiety issues.
  • I like to ride in the car but still need a little help getting in.
  • I love to snuggle up in my very own bed every night and sleep next to Foster Mom’s bed.
  • I have learned so many new things since becoming a RAGOM girl. Foster Mom calls me a happy, beautiful soul, which I think sounds pretty sweet.

Please come back and check on me again soon.

Love and kisses,
Gracie

Gracie has been with us for 8 weeks now, and during that time we have had the pleasure of watching her blossom. She has welcomed her new life with open paws and is enjoying everything it has to offer. She has adapted to inside living with ease and discovered that dog beds are super comfy, meals and treats are oh so yummy, and having humans to love her makes everything perfect.

Gracie loves to take walks and does very well on a leash. The only time she barks is when she hears someone coming to the door. She loves meeting up with the neighbor dogs and cats at the fence in the backyard. She has no anxiety issues—she is not afraid of thunderstorms, fireworks, or any loud household noises like the vacuum.

Gracie has gained 10 pounds in the past 2 months. Even though she is a petite girl, the vet feels she is at her perfect weight: 64 pounds of sweetness.

Please check back soon for more updates about Gracie.

Gracie came into RAGOM's care as a retired breeder. She is a bit underweight at 53 pounds, but is a smaller Golden overall. Gracie was nervous at first in her new foster home, but has made great strides in overcoming that anxiety.

She is learning about potty training, car rides, nutritious food and treats, and all the comforts of living in a home. She is becoming more outgoing and confident each day by following the resident dog's lead.

Gracie is healthy in every other way, but has one big obstacle to overcome—she was diagnosed with heartworms and has begun her treatment.

Please check back for future updates on Gracie's progress.
