Here is baby Hrbek - the 4th boy of Journey 12-111 puppies. Thank you to Jodie, Stuart and Layla Haring for naming this spunky handful.

Hrbek is the first to do everything. He is the first to play with his siblings. He was the first to find his way out of the pool, again and again and again. I am pretty sure he was the first to eat out of his Mama's food bowl. He is also the most vocal of all the puppies.

Hrbek has one of the darker faces of all the puppies. The rest of his body is a little bit lighter shade of brown. And in keeping with his siblings - darker brown ears. Like all of his siblings he has some pretty fun dreams as his legs are moving when he is sleeping.

Hrbek weighed 1 lb 2 oz when he was first weighed. Today he weighs 4 lbs 8 oz. Hrbek has consistently weighed the most at all of the weigh ins. Hrbek has had his first de-worming on 5/23. He has the dark green collar - watch for him in the pictures.

First "official" food meal - kind of messy.

Hi,

Mid day maid and chef here!   So, to continue my story.

Tuesday I was happy when I saw the puppy pen on the deck which meant I could send them outside and clean their room. No problem, great idea and set up.   20 min. later, I hated that pen. Here's what happened:  Journey was outside with the boyz.  I sent the puppies outside to the pen so I could clean their room.  The puppies go wild when they see their mom and then Journey runs from them.  But someone found a weak area between the pen and the house.  While I was cleaning, my intuition said to check outside.  Good thing I listen to myself because, Hrbeck, Tuck, Parker were running down the deck chasing Journey.  I crawled over the baby gate, opened another gate, ran through the kitchen and out the door.  Seconds later I scooped up the 3 escapees while the remaining 6 were making their escape from the pen.  It was a stampede.  So I said to myself.....I'm too old for this stuff.  This is crazy.  What am I doing here?  I secured the pen with a deck chair and started laughing, wondering when it will be my turn to raise a golden family. Am I crazy?  Probably.  Would I do this again?  In a heartbeat.  After the puppies get back in their room, things settle down and they take a nap.  At least most of them do.  There's 2 puppies (Tuck & Hrbek) that don't follow the plan.  So I softly sing to them. "You are My Sunshine......" That does it.  They drop like little peanuts and my shift is done.

Wednesday Journey and the boyz were babygated in the kitchen and the puppies were on the porch.  Except, Journey evidently had jumped over the babygate in the kitchen and the puppies knocked their gate over.  When I arrived, 9 puppies were running free and met me at the door. Journey had innocently jumped back into the kitchen.........but she left evidence behind...Sneaky girl.

In 2 weeks the peanuts will be spayed/neutered and leave with their families.  I will miss their breath,

their exhuberance and their adorable faces.

Thank you RAGOM and sister golden rescues for saving the Missouri auction dogs.  Thank you, Jeanine for trusting me with your special family.  Its been the highlight of my days.

FM here,  Hrbeck has met a wonderful family who just loves what a big boy he is!    More to come later about his new home.
