Gus 07-415

Profile

Hello everyone!  I would like you to meet Gus.  Gus came to us from a good Samaritan that rescued him from being euthanized at a shelter.  He was surrendered to the shelter after his owner passed away.

A few things that we have learned about Gus since he came to us on Saturday is that he is the sweetest boy you will ever meet.  It takes him a minute to get to know you because he is a little shy, but then he is your best friend.  He loves attention and will take anything you will give to him, but once you stop he goes to his room (he decided the laundry room is his) and lies down for a rest.  Also he really enjoys being in the house.  When he is let out to go potty, that’s what he does and then he will sit on the back step and wait patiently to be let back in.

I really can’t say enough about this special boy.  He is housetrained, doesn’t jump on furniture, is not aggressive towards anything, is great with kids of all ages and animals of all types, and I couldn’t imagine finding a better dog to bring into your home.  This guy is so special and he deserves to have a forever home to call his own.

Gus is doing great and really coming out of his shell.  He is much improved on the car rides and now loves them.. He's learned that they can be fun and our other 2 dogs love them.  He is learning a lot from them. Gus is enjoying the outside more.  He doesn't like going out on those hot days, but loves running around helping with the chores in the morning   He is so affectionate and loving.  You can't help but love him.  He gets along great with our other dogs and plays a lot with them.  He used to be so cautious but has really blossomed.  He is still a little shy with meeting people at first but it doesn't take him long to warm up.  He does bark at strangers at the door.  We are working on that.He is a beautiful dog and we love fostering him.  He has come a long way.
