Halo was adopted by a wonderful retired couple. She will have two fur sisters to play with and learn from. Her new mom and dad love to walk their dogs, so Halo will be very happy!
I will miss you sweet girl!

Halo moved to our house from her first foster’s home because her foster family was getting ready to move. She met my dogs without any issues. It took a few days for her to settle in and learn our routine, but she is a quick learner and did fine.
I had her in a crate at first so she had a safe spot where she could observe my dogs and me and get used to us. Then I left the door open to encourage her to join us in the living room. It didn’t take her long to follow my dog onto the couch and pick out her favorite spot.
My son and two grandsons came over to meet Halo and she wasn’t sure who they were, but wasn’t overly afraid of them. They stayed back and played with my dogs while Halo watched them.
Halo is a joy to have around. She loves attention and is always lying next to me on the couch. She has the Golden nudge down and keeps reminding me that she is there to be petted. When I ask who wants to go outside, Halo is right there by the door with my dogs. She has never had an accident in the house and has earned free roam all of the time.
Halo loves to go for car rides. I love how each dog takes their spot in the car. My former breeder dogs like the floor in the back seat so they don’t have to look out the window as we are driving.
Halo watches my dogs for cues so she needs another confident dog in her forever home. She doesn’t like sudden movements and loud noises.

Halo for the most part is doing well. She continues to do her daily walks. Her safe spot for walking is in between her two foster brothers. I have a leash that is hooked around my waist to keep her safe. She will bolt at sudden noises; it can be me just scraping my feet loudly on gravel that will frighten her. She loves her car rides.
Halo has discovered the red squirrel in the tree and she is a real squirrel hunter.
At this time, I feel this is what Halo needs in a forever home:
- A quiet home without a lot of company coming in and out.
- A secure fenced-in yard.
- A home where her people will have much patience as she is delicate and sensitive.
- At least one very confident resident dog that will help her with new situations, people, and be a playmate to her.
Halo has many good traits. She has never had an accident in the house and will come and stand in front of you to go outside. Loves to be petted. She has a remarkable eye-to-mouth coordination when catching popcorn! She is not a barker.
Halo is still very much a work in progress but I know with patience, time, and love this little girl will make someone a very loving and loyal family member.

Welcome beautiful RAGOM girl Halo, named for the angel that rescued her from a commercial dog breeder.
She is a beautiful and sweet girl who is learning what it is like to live in a house with two cats and two resident dogs who are showing her the ropes. She loves my resident dogs and follows them for confidence. Halo’s forever family must include another medium to large, confident dog to continue providing a role model.
Halo has typical reactions to new things and people that come along with not having been socialized and exposed to them for the first four years of her life. She startles easily at sudden movements and loud noises, and she needs time to trust humans. Therefore, children in her home should be dog savvy and 13 years old or older.
She has been updated on her shots, is heartworm negative, and has been spayed. Initially she was treated for hookworms and is now clear. Halo has been on an anti-anxiety medication to help her with all the new changes and she has been adjusting well.
Halo is learning to walk on a leash with her two foster brothers. She is starting to relax and will stop to smell what her fur brothers are smelling. A physical fence will be required in Halo’s forever home to keep her safe; she is a risk for fleeing if startled.
Halo has a way to go but she loves to be petted and will stay by you for hours just wanting affection. Halo responds to love and will, with patience, make a wonderful family member.
