Henry has been with me since the end of March. Just in time to keep me company during COVID stay at home orders.

I was so lucky to find Henry. He is such a good dog and well behaved too! Sometimes I call him my “gentle giant.”

He does have some anxiety, but we are working through that with a behavioral vet and a behavioral trainer. He is settling in just fine. He does like his routine and to stay home. That’s just fine with me, as I am retired.

Henry has a great smile and loves his belly rubs.

I love older Goldens. They’re the best!

Sweet Henry was adopted! His new Mom is retired and he will get so much love. I’m so happy for him.

We will miss you, Henry!

Hello everyone! My name is Henry, and I am a 9-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix. I have been in my foster home for just over a week.

The first few days were pretty "ruff" for me. I was a little confused and sad. But my Foster Mom, Foster Dad, and their two kids (15/18) are super nice. They also have a small Golden (that is my age!), and a cat.

I am starting to settle into their routine. I'm super lucky because my Foster Mom is a dog walker, so I am getting lots of exercise and fresh air!

You are probably wondering why I came into foster care? There were some changes to my old home and family. Two small children came into my life and they were just a little too rough with me. My owners knew I deserved to live out the rest of my life with a little more peace and quiet than I was getting there.

My perfect home would probably be with older children that aren't crawling all over me. I just LOVE naps and my people. While I enjoy my foster family's dog, I really don't need one as long as you aren't gone a long time.

I love, love, love walking with my foster Mom. I can get a little barky when I see other dogs, but hey! Who doesn't?!

I am getting a tooth removed and some lumps looked at next week. After I recover, I will be good as new! Stay tuned for more info on me!!
