Honey is the sweetest dog. She came into RAGOM with an injury to her rear leg. Although it has healed, it did not heal perfectly. Her forever family is okay with that and loves her regardless of her disability.
Honey doesn't let her leg slow her down much. She takes every available opportunity to chase and romp and play with her bigger, older German Shepherd brothers. They love to play with her and will allow her to knock them over and win. It is adorable to watch them be so gentle with her. She also has a cat brother, and they, too, get along famously.
As for her human family, Honey hit the jackpot. She has two human brothers to call her own, and they absolutely adore her and love to play with her outside as well. They also like to take her for car rides when running errands, and she loves to do this.
Her family has already started working with her and training her to be a very well-behaved girl so she can go out in public with them to all their activities and spend loads of time with them.
Honey will truly go on from here to live a very Golden life and enjoy all the finer things a dog could have.

Honey has recovered quickly from her surgery to correct and repair the femur of her leg. She is still not able to use the leg well, but is not in any pain at this stage. She doesn't let it slow her much, either.
Honey has had so many great improvements over the last few weeks. She is quickly learning that it is not OK to jump on people, but she just gets so so excited to see you. She will quickly settle, especially if you bend down and give her scratches behind the ear.
She is also working on learning to sit on command. It is so cute the way she plops her little rear down and looks expectantly for the treat.
She has been released from crate rest, so that means play! She loves to play with her squeaky toys and ball. She is learning to bring toys to you when you ask her to.
She also has a special affinity for a couple of her foster sibling dogs. She loves to be wherever they are and has learned to gently wrestle with them.

Honey came to stay with us about two weeks ago. She is a very sweet puppy, but is facing some medical challenges already in her young life.
Honey has a broken femur from her prior life. She has undergone two surgeries to help her leg heal properly. She is currently recovering from the second surgery.
Honey is a very good patient. She is willing to be held and snuggled and kept much quieter than other puppies her age. She takes her medicine well.
She does enjoy chewing and squeaky toys. She enjoys tennis balls, too, though she can't yet chase them.
Honey loves her foster siblings. She has a white German Shepherd that she especially adores spending time with. She doesn't realize how much bigger her siblings are than she is. She hasn't yet been introduced to the resident cat, but we will update once we know more.
