Huey is a gorgeous multicolored GR mix that was found as a stray in Missouri. He is ~1-2 years old, 68 lbs, current on all vaccinations and other than having kennel cough (same deal as the common cold in a person), he is in perfect health. As soon as his cough clears up, Huey will head in for his neuter and be ready to meet his forever family.
He has only been here for a few days, but we already know he is extremely friendly and affectionate. Huey is playful with resident Mia and great with young children. He has not had any accidents in the house, and I would consider him fully potty trained. Mia has not had any buddies for several weeks and she is in heaven with Huey! They chase each other in the yard, play tug, retrieve balls and follow each other around the house. His tail must be tired because it has not stopped wagging since he arrived!
He is wonderful with young children (4 & 7), playful, very gentle taking treats. Huey is very affectionate and a great listener. He knows how to sit and frequently sticks out his paws to shake. He is a young, energetic dog and will need obedience training….as all young dogs do!

Another great week with sweet Huey! Not much new with him other than he continues to be a perfect house guest and is a playful and affectionate boy. Huey wanted to cuddle up with 09-221 Dakota during piano practice….you have to meet this amazing dog! I just can’t say enough nice things about him and am so surprised no one has already adopted him! Huey has recovered from his kennel cough and he is a healthy, happy boy! He is a really special dog and everyone that meets him comments on how beautiful and affectionate he is. Huey is happy regardless of what he is doing – loves to run outside, walk, play with the kids, play with Mia and other visiting dogs, or just lay by my feet. He sleeps in the bedroom and doesn’t make a sound all night, is very gentle with treats, and listens very well. You should come and check him out!

Huey was neutered and had his rear dewclaws removed last week. He still has a slight cough from his kennel cough but is now on medication. Huey continues to delight us every day! He loves to play with Mia, is a bit of a toy destroyer (works on them until there is no squeaker left), and would chase a ball for hours if I let him. He loves children and snuggles up to my daughter placing his head in her lap – very sweet boy with lots of cute mannerisms!
Huey is excited to see me when I get home from work and has lots of energy…..he will need obedience training and I suspect he will do well as he is a great listener.
