Hunter 05-170

Profile

6/2/05: Hunter is a 13 month old medium to dark neutered male. He's rather tall, but he's lean. He met my crew with no issue, seems to submit rather easily when told to by the other dogs. As of right now, he's totally staying away from my young male and is trying to stay in another room from my other foster Zoe 05-091. He's been told his place by my cat and even by my 13 year old Golden. He doesn't seem bothered by any of this and in fact is totally fascinated with the rabbit. He lived with kids in his previous life and I think he would be fine with 5/6 year olds and up. He hasn't had any training but is housebroken and seems very intelligent, so training won't be a problem but will be a requirement for his new owners. More later as I get to know him.

It is with great sadness that I report that Hunter crossed over the bridge on Wednesday August 19.

It couldn't have been a more fitting day for him to pass. All the rain must have been from the tears of everyone that knew him.

Hunter had cancer for over 2 years. During this time he never once showed it. He was always wagging his tail and carrying a toy when I got home, happy to see me. He loved to curl up next to you and get petted all day and night. Unfortunately the last couple of weeks saw more tumors grow and his breathing change. The decision was made to have him cross over the bridge.

When they say a dog is man's best friend they were right. I could not have asked for a better dog and friend than him! He will be missed by me and his fellow animal friends including Abby (Bonnie 07-552)!

Simon Delivers left the groceries in the backyard this week...Hunter wasn't too sure what to think when he saw the stack of stuff. He was a little scared at first, he barked at it, then he decided to go about his business and check out the yard.
