Original Initial Bio:
Welcome to the good life beautiful boy! Harlee came into our care all the way from a shelter in Sturgis, South Dakota. We are very thankful that this shelter called Ragom and are letting us enjoy this handsome boy until we find his forever family. Harlee made the trip down from South Dakota this past Wednesday and we want to thank Jim for transporting him all the way here. We really appreciate it!
Harlee is a one year old neutered male golden retriever. He is pretty petite and very light in color. He is a gorgeous dog and has a great personality to match. He gets along well with our dog and our cats and would love it if he could find a family that has another dog or would be willing to make sure he gets playdates or time at the dog park every week. We are working on potty training and had a few accidents last Wednesday but have only had one since then so I think Harlee is well on his way to becoming potty trained. Harlee knows sit, shake, and will usually come when you call him. We are working on wait right now as Harlee has an obsession with food and can hardly contain himself when he sees the dishes being gotten out.
Harlee loves his toys! His favorites are tennis balls (of course), nylabones, and he loves stuffed toys. He is so gentle with them, and it is so cute to watch him carrying them around in his mouth. Harlee is definitely a love bug like most goldens. He really likes cuddling with his people and had his head on my fiancee's chest earlier in the evening and was sawing logs. He just likes to be around you getting his belly rubbed, playing ball, or taking a snooze.
For still being a puppy he is fairly mellow, and we have only caught him chewing on things he wasn't supposed to a couple of times. Tomorrow Harlee is going to the vet to get all his shots updated and his heartworm check and physical. We'll update you once he is done and let everyone know how it all checked out. Enjoy the photos!
