I'm back to tell you a couple of things. First of all, I have lost 14 lbs and I now weigh 74.5 lbs. Yeah for me! I still have just a few more to go, but I know that I will get there.

The second thing that I need to tell you is that I got adopted by a wonderful family. I now have a Golden brother named Finn and he is the same age that I am. I have three older (out of the house) human siblings that will love me.

I am so excited. I will probably be nervous the first few days, but my new mom and dad understand that and will be very patient with me.

One good thing about this is that I will not be living very far from foster mom and dad, so I will get to see them periodically. And if my new mom and dad go somewhere that Finn and I cannot go, then we get to go and stay with foster mom and dad.

Instead of happy endings, I call it, "Here's to new beginnings. Life is good!".

I'm back to tell you how I have been doing. Well, to start things off (drum roll please...) I have lost 10 pounds! Yes, that is 10 pounds! Can I hear a WOOT WOOT?! I have 8 – 10 more to go. I'm really liking my green bean diet.

I have more energy and I am not just lying around a lot like I was when I first got here. I've been going on a lot of walks. At first they were really short, because I would get out of breath really fast and could not go very far. But now I am able to go on longer walks and I really like it.

I'm not getting up unless you have a treat for me.

Here I am enjoying my supper. You can see the hair down my back has grown back in. Good loving, good food, and salmon oil helped.

I live with five resident dogs and get along very well with them. We have had three different dogs here (a Yellow Lab, a Golden, and a Staffordshire Terrier) that Foster Mom and Foster Dad dog sat for, and I got along with all of them, too.

I just love people and all of the pets and lovin’ I get from them. I am a big love bug and everyone says that I am the sweetest thing.

We are patiently waiting for our breakfast. I'm the light colored one on the right.

We have had some thunderstorms and I have been just fine with it. It does not bother me at all, unlike one of the resident dogs.

I also do not resource guard my food, the balls I play with, or the bones and antlers that I like to chew on. I love to be outside running around in the fenced backyard and playing with a couple of the resident dogs.

I'm waiting for you to let RAGOM and Foster Mom know that you want me to be a part of your family. I certainly will not disappoint you!

Woot woot! I'm here to tell you this green bean diet sure is working. I have lost 8 lb so far. I have 12 lbs. to go but by continuing the green bean diet and the walks I'm getting, I would say that the pounds will continue to come off.

I am more settled then I was when I first came, and this new Golden life sure is the bomb. Foster mom keeps saying I am just the sweetest thing, and someone is going to be very happy to be owned by me.

Well, I'm here to tell you that my life sure has changed for the better. I lived with a breeder and I was not good with my puppies, so I was surrendered to RAGOM.

This really nice lady picked me up and took me to another really nice lady who kept me over night. Then this really nice man met the second really nice lady who kept me overnight, and he took me to his house where another really nice lady lives with him. (Are you following me?)

I met three puppers who were like me and two little puppers who look like little versions of me, but I was told that they are 3 and 5 years old. I was really scared because I did not know what was going on. When the nice man, whom I was told would be my foster dad, finally got me in the house I plopped down right inside the back door and that is where I stayed most of the time for two days.

You can tell how scared I was.
You can tell how scared I was.

I would not eat and I would not go outside to go potty. I hadn't gone potty the night before I got here either. The problem with trying to get me outside to potty is that I am overweight and I did not want to move and I was still not sure of what was going on.

A couple of days later when Foster Mom put food on the floor again in front of me and walked away, I finally did eat. A little later, Foster Mom saw me get up and squat and I peed and peed and peed and peed and peed—and then I peed some more. I really had to go since I had not gone for a few days. That was my first accident in the house.

To get me outside Foster Dad would put a towel under me, lift me with the towel, then hold my collar and the towel, and get me outside that way. Once outside I would plop down on the ground and stay there.

After a couple of days of that, Foster Dad only had to do that every now and then, because sometimes I would decide to just go out with the other puppers. I would walk around the yard and after awhile I would do my duties.

A couple of times through the nights I had a potty accident on the kitchen floor, so Foster Mom and Foster Dad knew I was moving from my spot by the back door, which they thought was good even though I did have the accidents.

But I am here to tell you that there have been no more accidents in the house. I am doing my duty outside now. I usually go out and come back in on my own with the other puppers.

Here I am with resident dog Peanut.

When I went to see the good doctor a few days after I got here I weighed 88 1/2 pounds. He told Foster Mom and Foster Dad that I needed to lose about 20 pounds. Just a few days later when I went back to the good doctor to get spayed (yay… my baby-making days are over) I weighed 86 1/2 pounds.

I am on a green bean diet and it is working. I have graduated from eating on the floor, then off of a paper plate, to eating from a bowl on a raised stand. Foster Mom is feeding me less food and lots of green beans so that I will feel full but do not get all of the calories.

Since I did not have my all of my shots when I got my rabies shot before I arrived, I have to go back to the good doctor to get my other shots in a few days, so I am looking forward to see what I weigh then.

Every day is getting better and better for me. I am now coming into the kitchen when Foster Mom is fixing breakfast and supper. Also, I am coming out at other times and just lying in the kitchen.

Many times when Foster Mom or Foster Dad walks by me, I roll over to have my belly rubbed. Foster Dad has really taken to me and says that I am special and just the sweetest thing. If you ask Foster Mom she would say the same thing.

You can see me lift my leg for a belly rub.

I like walking around the back yard and the other day I even tried to play with one of the resident puppers. It didn't last long but that was a big step for me. I have started playing with a ball when I am inside. and I really like to chew on the hard bones and the antlers.

Right now my energy is low, but I am sure that is due to me being overweight. When I get this weight off I am sure that I will have more energy. Foster Dad takes me for a walk but they are not very long. I get tired really fast with my extra weight, but as I take these pounds off I will go for longer walks.

We are working on some commands. I do know "no." I know my name. I am not up and around a lot, but when I am we are working on “sit.” I take treats very nicely.

I know as the days go by I will get a lot more comfortable and will do more things. I am coming out more from my spots by the back door and joining the resident puppers. I am getting used to this Golden life and I am liking it.

I don't like to look at the camera. I'm not really sure what it is and if it will hurt me or not.
I don't like to look at the camera. I'm not really sure what it is and if it will hurt me or not.

I do have some hair loss down my back but the good doctor said that it was nothing to be worried about. He said that it was probably from bad food, stress, and the environment that I was in. Foster Mom is giving me good food and is putting salmon oil on my food, and my coat is looking better since I arrived.

As I get more comfortable here and do more things I'll keep you informed on how I’m doing. I'm slowly learning that this is a very safe place to be and I like it. I will also let you know about my weight-loss program. I am really excited about that so I can feel better. Until next time, because I think it is time for supper!

This is where I like to lay a lot.
