Ivy (Meryl 17-084TD)

Profile

Welcome Meryl to America and RAGOM-land. Meryl is a Crème Golden who is estimated to be 4 years old. She is up to date on her vaccinations and spayed. Meryl had significant dental issues found on her first exam, so she had 10 teeth extracted on the 10th of this month. She still has a great smile as her front teeth and canines are intact and one lonely tooth behind the lower left canine with a couple of molars. She will be eating softened kibble for about a week till she has healed her incisions.

Meryl has had no accidents since arriving on the 29th of April. She weighed in at 75 lbs. at the time of her dental surgery. She is eating Fromm's Salmon/Tuna, and that seems to agree with her taste buds and bowel habits. She is getting along with our house residents and fosters. I have not had to kennel Meryl so far, and she sleeps on a dog bed in the family room all night. Meryl gives a little bark or whine if she wants to go outside.

Meryl, now known as Ivy, has met her forever family. She will be in training to be a therapy dog in the near future. She has two fantastic retired adults who will love her and teach her all about living in America. Ivy's home also has two cats for her to get to know and a neighborhood full of dogs to call friends. Welcome to your new home and congratulations to Neil and Peggy.

Meryl is having a blast with the new foster puppy Stormy. She has so much patience I wonder if she was a mama at some point in her life.

Meryl has been cat-tested and could care less as long as she has her humans giving her attention. Even with the cat sitting less than 2 feet in front of her face, she remained disinterested. We also have some very small, new baby bunnies in an area of the yard, and she is my first Golden to show no interest. Absolutely amazing for sure.

Meryl pulls quite strongly on the leash, and I will try a Gentle Leader to see if that helps her stay close and slow down.
