Jack could not be any more sweet or friendly. Jack is suffering from allergies, a bacterial skin infection, and possibly sarcoptic mange, and he has lost some hair. Even with all of this discomfort he is still so gentle and loving. I know that if I had even one of these things I would be grouchy and Jack is just really wonderful.

The good news is that Jack has been to the vet and has started his treatments. The vet expects a complete recovery, including new hair. He has even stopped scratching. Once we get the skin infection sorted out, we will need to determine how to treat the allergies. This will be something that Jack’s forever home will have to manage going forward. It is common for Golden’s to have skin allergies and there is a lot of information and products out there to help them live happy, healthy lives. So don’t be afraid to adopt this wonderful boy just because he has allergies!

Jack will make a wonderful addition to almost any household. He is good with dogs, children, cats, he loves to ride in the car, retrieve tennis balls, go for walks, and just lie down next to his people for love and attention.

Jack wants to thank everyone who came to Chuck and Don's to meet him and all the other special RAGOM dogs.   It was a wonderful event and I got to see Jack in action with lots of people and children too.   He did not display any fear or aggression when children were near- he was happy to be there and his worst behavior was making it hard for people to stop petting him.   I am certain he is ready for his new forever home.   If you are a person who wants a loving, loyal, and sweet companion- you need look no farther.  Jack is the senior gentleman for you.I have added a few pictures so you all can see how happy and healthy he is.   My favorite is the one of him giving me his belly to rub-  you have to get used to that one, because he LOVES to get belly rubs.

Jack had his second ivermectin shot so now he can co-mingle with the resident dogs.  He is really very sweet and well behaved.    Yesterday we went to a farm to pick some veggies and Jack had a wonderful time running around with the his foster family. Jack likes to be where the people are and he likes to sleep on the floor right next to foster dad.  Jack really likes men.  Anyway,  I think Jack is well on the road to recovery and is looking for a forever home.  Someone who will make sure that his allergies don't get out of control.
