Jackson (Rhett 08-504)

Profile

Rhett is approximately 8 weeks old and came into RAGOM Sunday with 4 other puppies and 8 adult Goldens from a breeder who has decided to stop breeding. He is doing well and is an active little boy. He is getting along well with my 3 male resident dogs and trying to engage them in play. Rhett has been microchipped and had his first distemper combo vaccination. He also had his first dewormer which is taking care of the roundworms the pups came in with. Like any other puppy his age, he has accidents and loves to chew on anything and everything near his mouth. :) Socks with toes in them are extra yummy apparently. Ouch!

More as I get to know him more. Enjoy the pictures.

This little guy has changed our lives drastically and we couldn't love him more if we tried. Jackson (FKA Rhett) was so shy when we first got him and now he is so cuddly, playful and friendly. His big fur-sister, Cheyenne, adores playing with him - they are the best of friends. He's a charmer and a goofball, making us laugh every day. Attached are a couple pics of the "kids". The first is Cheyenne and Jackson in their usual spots after a session of play. The second is Jackson at his best, hamming it up for the camera. Thanks to RAGOM for all that you do and thanks to Brittney for being such an excellent foster mom and for choosing us as Jackson's furever family.

Love,

Hi people....its Rhett here. FM took some more pictures of me and said I could do my own bio...wow, I'm really growing up I guess.

I can do stairs now....a whole flight....both up and down....no more leaving me behind on any adventures! I'm still eating my food really good and I now weigh 12 lbs. I love going for walks and sometimes we even run a little. That doesn't last very long though 'cause FM gets tired running....ha ha....not me.

I sleep in my crate now every night and I bark a little at first to see if maybe I can convince FM to get me out. Sometimes I get her to take me outside again but when she sees me just running around playing and not doing my "business" I guess she realizes I fooled her so in we go. I have never gone potty in my crate but I am still little and can't hold it for more than a few hours. Don't worry....I'm growing and so is my bladder!

I like it here but FM says there is a family somewhere that will bring me to their house and love me forever. They just haven't found me yet. Is it you?

Rhett is doing well and waiting for his forever family. Last night he slept in his crate (the other nights he had slept with me in bed initially) all night and resisted less than I thought he would. He woke up once around 5 am to go outside and then went back to sleep for a couple more hours.

Rhett is a hoot to watch play and entertains himself well. He is learning to carrying a tennis ball and then pounces on it when it falls out of his mouth. Too cute. Outside he follows his nose around the yard. He is loving chasing the leaves when they blow in the wind and also pounces on them.

He has met lots of new people and has done great meeting other dogs. He also walks pretty well on the leash. He enjoys his walks and seeing everything in the world!

I no longer am needing to add water to his food......he's eating like a big boy now and takes treats like a champ.

These are really fun times in Rhett's life. If you are interested in meeting him let placementatragom [dot] org (placement) know!

Rhett is doing well and eating much better! We stopped by the vet yesterday so I could get a weight on him......he is 10 lbs and everyone wanted a quick puppy snuggle while we were there. He was happy to oblige.

Rhett had a little white fur on each of his back paws as well as on his chest, and his fur over his eyes is also a lighter gold.....so cute. He can now go both up and down 2 or 3 stairs at a time and thinks he is a pretty big boy. He continues to run around my lab enticing him to play....it is an absolute hoot watching puppies be puppies!!!

He has been a champion neck warmer the past few nights while I sleep. He comes and lays his head right on my neck and it's so sweet. He usually is in bed with me until early morning when he gets feisty and starts biting....then it's time for a little time in the crate. :) Depending on what time we get up in the morning, we usually have 1-2 trips outside to go potty overnight.

Puppies are adorable, and Rhett is no exception. They also require a lot of time and commitment. If you are ready to add a puppy to your family contact placement!
