Jasmine (Geneva 07-074)

Profile

2/25/07: Geneva has made it to wintry Apple Valley, MN. Geneva is a 3 week old little girl – she will be 4 weeks on the 1st of March. She has a birth date of February 1st, 2007. She will be ready to go home on March 30th, 2007.

Geneva is named from a city in Minnesota that our other transporter came from. Well, close--she is from Hollandale, but I like Geneva better. We picked names of towns that we had to go through on our way to Missouri for all the puppies. We figured it would be fitting to name everyone after a city that we passed when we rescued them. It was a 9 hour trip and everyone made it beautifully. We are so proud of the new kids on the block. Geneva LOVES to cuddle and be held.

If you are interested in Geneva, please let Placement know (placementatragom [dot] org) and we can set up a visit for you to meet her.

We had to say goodbye to our "first born", Jasmine, on January 27th. She was the sassiest, sweetest dog and was a great teacher to Duncan (07-531) and Sally (17-221A). Just days shy of her 14th birthday, she was playful up to the very end. We had no idea Tuesday night would be the last night we would play with her - Wednesday brought a much different dog, suddenly full of pain and unable to move. Our hearts are broken.

Jasmine was an escape artist. Any opportunity she could find she would bolt out of an open door and go explore the neighborhood on her own, which scared us to death!

We spent much of the last 13+ years doing everything we could to prevent her running. She loved exploring her yard and would spend countless hours sitting on her deck, surveying the yard, protecting it from squirrels, bunnies, and coyotes. She made friends with the deer that would come to the fence and would try so hard not to scare them away. A few of them would allow her to get nose to nose with them and say hi!

She had multiple nicknames - including, but not limited to, Jazzercise, Jazzy, Pupper-doo, Princess, and Sweet Pea.

Run free, Sweet Pea! Say 'hi' to Duncan for us!

Love,

Mom, Dad, and Sally

Our little Geneva is sure all girl. She loves to cuddle, hates to get her face messy from food, and wants to be by mom at all times. She will definitely let you know if she is not happy about something.

Our little girl went to the vet today and weighed in at 3.14 lbs; she is by far the tiniest of the four pups. She is a nice and healthy little girl - everything looks and feels good. She was also given her first dose of worming meds. This is normal to just get rid of any worms that she may have gotten from her mother, Sweet Abbey.

Geneva is looking for a family who will spend lots of time with her and make sure she gets to puppy Kindergarten and at least beginner obedience. Those two are very important for a young pup to become a good member of the family. So if you have time for these things, please email placementatragom [dot] org and let’s set up a meeting.
