Habi enjoyed his six-week stay in Minnesota as he became acquainted with life in America. He enjoyed rolling in the grass, snitching apples from the neighbor's tree, playing with other dogs in his neighborhood, and also making friends with a lot of people in his neighborhood.
But now Habi is off to Iowa with his new family, where he will have two boys to keep him busy, and a canine sibling to play with named Lola, a RAGOM dog previously adopted in 2017.
We love you Habi!

Habi is a sweetheart. Habi came to RAGOM from China this August as part of our international dog rescue to save these dogs from the Chinese meat trade.
Habi had a very long international flight, but he bravely took it all in stride. He was so happy when he got to Chicago and was met by our volunteers. The following day, Habi flew to the Twin Cities by private plane and went to his new foster home. That's a lot of traveling, and I was amazed at how calm and cheerful Habi was when he arrived at my home.
Like most dogs, Habi most likes being close to his people. He likes sleeping at my feet and will follow me everywhere he can. He is a good snuggler. Habi seems pretty healthy. He is being treated for ear infections, will need to get his teeth cleaned, and needs to put on a few pounds. We will help him out on all of those issues. He is thought to be about 5 years old.
Habi hasn't been here long enough to want to play much with toys and he hasn't yet shown any interest in retrieving balls or sticks, but that could change as he settles in more. He does like to snitch apples that fall off the neighbor's tree and into our yard.
Habi is house trained and crate trained. He cries and whines a little bit when I leave the house because he always prefers to be with his people.
Children in Habi’s forever home should be at least 8 years old. He gets along with larger dogs he’s been around; we haven’t witnessed him with small dogs yet. At this point we don’t know if he can be trusted with a cat, as he barks at our cat a lot. A physical fence will be required to provide a safe environment for Habi to play and explore.
We'll have more updates on Habi as we learn more about him in the next few weeks. If you would be interested in making Habi a valued member of your family, let us know. He will surely make a wonderful companion for someone out there.
