We have been so happy to watch sweet Jax come out of his shell over the past month. He loves kids and playing with other dogs, and he has found his perfect family!

Jax will be living out his days as a loved family member with 3 human siblings and 2 dog siblings. He will have a fenced yard for him to play and wrestle and plenty of soft places to lay his head after a long day of burning off his puppy energy.

Jax had a rough first year of life, but is now on the path to many years of making happy memories and lots of snuggles. Congratulations to Jax and his new forever family!

Jax started his first year of life with a breeder, but he had no interest in fathering pups of his own, so he gets to find his forever family. He came into the RAGOM family one week ago, very unsure of himself and totally new to life as a family member. What a whirlwind week it has been for little Jax!

For the first couple of days in our home, he was nervous about simple things like going through doorways and using the stairs. After watching our resident dogs, he has adjusted quickly and now is quite comfortable!

Jax is petite for a year-old male Golden, weighing under 50 pounds. He does great with brushing and seems to be relaxed by it, but he was nervous about getting a bath. It took two of us to keep him in the shower.

We are working on potty training. There have been a few accidents in the house, but he seems to be catching on and has whined a few times when he has to go out.

We have three resident senior males, and he is learning how and when to play with them. He has the playfulness of a puppy, but also likes to rest and nap throughout the day.

With our six-year-old daughter, there is no shortage of fun things for a puppy to chew on around our house. Jax also loves to gather shoes and put his puppy teeth to the test! Thankfully, he does not resource-guard and will willingly give up objects and make trades.

He is such a sweetheart with our daughter, gently giving puppy kisses and rarely jumping up. As he gets more comfortable each day, he also feels the need to protect his new turf. He will bark at neighbors or dogs passing by when looking out the window.

He is apprehensive about crates and has been sleeping on a dog bed in our room at night.

Car rides are exciting, and Jax settles during the journey. He did great at his first vet appointment and won hearts at the office.

Walking on a leash is a new concept and will take some work. He is still learning his name, but he comes when called and likes to be with the pack. We think he would do best in a home with a resident dog as he’s still learning the house-dog ropes.

Jax is going to make some lucky family very happy. He is the sweetest boy and is so smart. We feel fortunate to be part of his journey and are looking forward to helping him find his forever home.
