3/26/07: Look at this sweetheart!  Scotch is an 8 week old pup who came with her brother, Ollie 07-141, to our home in Hanover, MN from North Dakota this weekend.  Scotch may be small but she often pins her bigger brother as they romp and wrestle in our yard.  She warmed up very quickly to her new human pack and immediately snuggles in when you pick her up.

Thank you so much to Scotch's sponsors! Scotch has gained almost 4 pounds this week!  She is really gaining on her big brother!  She continues to be the more active and spunky one of the two.  Scotch has to be right in the middle of all the action all the time.  Her favorite activities are chasing anything that moves (and that she can carry) and running laps with her brother around our kitchen island.  They are also always up for a good game of tug of war between the two!  The vet did say that Scotch has a slight heart murmur at this time and he hopes that it will heal naturally with age (which often happens), so her new family will need to keep an eye on that.  For now it doesn't slow her down one bit!  Scotch would make a great addition to a family who understands the need to exercise their dogs, but also loves to have them close for some good down time.  Even with all of her energy she loves to take a break in your lap and will stay put as long as you let her!

We are so excited to hear that our little Scotch (or Scotcheroo as called by our 4 year old) has been sponsored.  You have picked a special little pup.  She may be tiny compared to her brother, but that doesn't stop her from trying anything!  She is even getting up the courage to chew on our resident dog's chewbone!  Just today she has mastered going up steps and follows me all over our house - she hasn't quite gotten the going down part yet.  She is just beginning to figure out that toys are like balls that we can play together with.  Her favorite place to take a quick nap is right on top of my feet.  We can't wait to share this lady with her new family!
