Jessie at 6 weeks old.

Jessie is just over two weeks old now and she is growing leaps and bounds! It's hard to believe puppies can grow that fast. She still mostly sleeps and eats, but she does get some exercise crawling and now trying to walk. I also think she is starting to get her baby teeth because she is starting to put my finger in her mouth and gently chew on it - I feel little bumps in the back of her mouth that feel like they are teeth. Little Jessie is turning into a butter ball with having her mother's undivided attention and no competition over food. I'm trying to get her out and about more and stimulate her more to move around, with having no siblings she is going to need more attention from me to keep her active.
We don't know anything about Jessie's father so we can only guess what other breeds might be mixed in with Golden Retriever. Jessie looks to have some Rottweiler or Doberman in her because of the brown patches over her eyes but she also has white on her chest and on three of her paws. She hasn't learn to bark or talk yet but she will whine when she is hungry and Mom is not around. She is also trying to crawl up the kiddie pool that I use as her and Mama's pen so it won't be long and she'll be crawling over - then watch out !!!!
Right now Jessie is laying on the hardwood floor trying to walk but her legs just slide out from under her so I will have to get some blankets out for her so she can get a grip and learn to walk. Check out her progress next week...
Jessie is two weeks old with her eyes open.
Two weeks old and already standing!
Still very wobbly on those legs of hers.
