Meet Jessie. This gorgeous Golden came to Minnesota from the North Dakota rescue.  Jessie is adapting quite well to her new environment. She is such a sweetheart . We have had no problems getting her to eat or drink. Jessie is quite timid but is eager to learn. She appears to be quite young. We have a vet appointment scheduled for her tomorrow so hopefully we can learn more about her. Jessie has responded very well to the leash and seems quite comfortable with the resident dogs. This adorable little girl will make a  special addition to some lucky family .

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by Chuck & Don's to meet Jessie today.  This was her first opportunity to venture out and meet new friends.  She was timid but handled this new environment quite well.  We were so proud of her.  This was  another  step toward her new life.  Nap time came quite easily once she got home to her foster sister, Penny.  Jessie was probably dreaming about all her new friends!!

Hi. . . It's me . . .Jessie

I wanted to let Peter, my sponsor, know how I'm doing.  It's been a fun week.  I went to the doctor again and this time he gave me my shots. They didn't even hurt. And the nurse even took my picture.   They want me  to come back on Tuesday and spend some more time with them.  They said something about spay. Gee, I hope it's a good treat. I'm so excited! My foster sister. Penny keeps taking my toys. And now, when I'm outside she tries to lead me astray.  But she gets scolded and I get pets.  Life is so good.I like my foster home, but I am looking for a forever home with a step brother or sister to romp and play with. My foster Dad says I'm a fast learner.   I hope to find my new home soon.  And, again, I want to thank Peter for sponsoring me.  It means so much. Thanks Peter!!xoxoxoYour friend,Jessie"Penny always tries to lead me astray....."

Hi, Jessie here....I'm having so much fun! My foster Mom and Dad gave me all kinds of toys to play with. And I have a foster brother and 2 foster sisters.  My foster brother is twice as big as I am but he loves to play with me. My older foster sister isn't really crazy about me....she tolerates me though.  I guess that's because she's kind of old.  My younger foster sister is pretty noisy and she likes to play-bite.  She even tries to take my toys.  But she's only a baby.  It seems like every time I turn around I'm getting a bath.  I don't think I've ever been so clean. My foster Mom and Dad say I'm doing a good job of not going to the bathroom in the house.  I wait until they take me outside because I know that makes them happy and it also keeps my bed clean. A  big thank you to Peter for sponsoring me!  I really appreciate it :)  I'll try to write again real soon so you can keep track of me and see how I am doing.  Lots of kisses. . . . .Jessie

This 53 lb playful young girl is making a great transition.  It is helpful to also be fostering a puppy.  Jessie mothers and plays with the pup as if it were her own.  There's lots of "That's my toy now!" going on between the 2 fosters.  Jessie's coat is looking better all the time.  We're trying to get out the mats and save as many of her beautiful curls as we can. Mornings seems to be her favorite time of day.  She "talks" while giving you eye contact.  You just know she's speaking her mind.We think it will be quite easy for Jessie to fit into a family home with children and pets.
