Hi Golden Fans!

I’m Jessie, a purebred sweet, loving, gentle almost senior that finally has my breeding years behind me and am ready to really start living.   Foster Mom (FM) and I still have a lot to discover about each other but here’s what I’ve told her to date about me;

a)       I’m gorgeous!  I’ve got beautiful, liquid brown eyes and a lovely thick honey colored coat,
b)       I love ear scritches!
c)       Wooden floors and doorways are kind of scary still.  They just don’t feel like the floors I’m used to – whatever that was.
d)       I love being outside, sitting next to FM watching the world go by – that is if the two crazy goldens chasing that odd looking green thing move out of the way.
e)       I really like FM’s smoothies!
f)         I like to sniff the cats when they come close enough, but otherwise I just let them live their kitty lives.
g)       I made Cody and Belle feel like they could come close and say hi to me.  For Belle that’s not a big deal – she would have said hi even if I’d snarked at her.  But for Cody – man, that was HUGE in FM’s eyes.  She says Cody is kind of scared of most new dogs.  He wasn’t scared of me, though.  Probably because I’m still such a babe!
h)       Although I haven’t yet passed my PT exams (potty training), I haven’t had an accident yet, either.  Last night, I woke FM up around 4 because I was panting.  She asked me if I had to go out and I ran to the door.  Sure enough, I did my thing as soon as we went out.

FM says she’ll tell you more as we get to know each other better.  I was spayed today, but once I’m fully recovered I’ll be available for adoption.  I hope I’ve piqued your interest enough to contact Placementatragom [dot] org to learn more about me.

Here is a picture of Jessie after she retrieved the ball this morning.  We have been able to have her off leash in the back yard and she has really enjoyed herself.  Every day she is calmer and appears more content.  She is doing so very well!

She enjoys long walks in the neighborhood and the nearby open space.  She is seeking affection and wants to be close by one of us. There is no bark yet, but her tail has been wagging!  It has been especially fun greeting neighbors and introducing her.

Thanks for all you have done for her!

Jessie’s new family

Dear Spectacular Sponsor Susan:

Thanks so much for sponsoring me!  I’m a really, really sweet dog.  I was just wondering, does sponsorship cover eyeglasses?  FM left them where I could reach them – and they smelled so much like her that I had to see if they tasted as sweet as they smelled.  FM was sad – and mad at herself for leaving them where I could find them.  It just goes to show that even grand dames like myself can act like puppies sometimes.

Guess what?  A really nice family came to meet me this week and they’re going to visit me again on Friday.  I was really shy the first time, so I’m going to try to be much braver when they come again.  FM promised me she’d have some really irresistible treats that they could use to help draw me out.  I’ll try really hard to make you proud and show them how sweet I am.  Thank you again and again for sponsoring me.
