Hi everyone. It's me, Jessie, writing to you from my forever home!!! Yup, you read that right. I am now adopted and living in Nebraska with my canine sister Bella and my two wonderful moms. And I have a grandmother (human one) that will come to visit with me when my moms are at work. I made the long trip from MN to NE on Sunday and did just fine on the ride, slept a lot, and did my business on-leash when we stopped for potty breaks.
My first night in my new house went great. I slept in my crate with my blanket that foster mom sent with me and my mom slept on the floor next to me so I would not be scared. My moms need to do a little puppy proofing of the house before they can let me sleep outside of my crate at night cause they do not want me to get hurt or get into trouble. They told foster mom that I am being an angel and they love me very much. They both stayed home with me today and one of my moms will work from home tomorrow too so she can make sure I am comfortable in my new house. Bella and I are getting along just fine. We wrestle and nap, and then wrestle and nap. So far, all is good. In a few weeks, we will have a new fence put up in the backyard. Until then, I am on a double leash so I am safe and cannot get away from my new folks.
Foster mom was very sad to see me go. She had to fight back the tears when she kissed me and told me to be a good girl for my new moms. I will miss foster mom and the crew at my foster house, but I am very happy to have my very own forever family now. My Christmas wish came true and Santa brought me just what I asked for.....my very own family!!
Thank you to all the wonderful folks at RAGOM and at the Animal Humane Society for helping me and saving me from the breeding place I was living at. I am so very lucky to have such a wonderful life. Miracles really do happen!!
Love and puppy kisses to you all.
Your friend,
Jessie
