Jetta 11-338

Profile

Introducing Jetta! She is one of Hope's 10 puppies. She is a Golden Retriever/Black Lab cross and is cute as can be! She has a mostly black coat with a white patch under her chin and a tiny white dot on her chest. Jetta was born on Saturday 9/24, making her 4 weeks old! Jetta girl is in the middle of the pack for her size and is a very adventerous girl! She is usually one of the first to explore the new things we introduce to the puppies! She plays with her brothers and sisters and can be found waking up the sleeping pups if she decides that sleep is booooring! :)  The puppies are all thriving! They are busy exploring their world and being cute... which they are very good at! They are also very good at making a mess and making us laugh! They have recently started eating a softened kibble and drinking water from a bowl, in addition to nursing from their mom. The puppies LOVE to eat. I joke that my foster puppies are very "advanced" for their age..... because they live with a 2 1/2 year old little boy and they want to get the heck outta here :)  Jetta has to stay with us and her brothers and sisters (and mama too) for awhile yet... but she is ready to meet that very special family that she will call his own when the time comes. Please let your placement advisor know if you are interested in meeting Jetta. Prepare to fall in love! Stay tuned and watch them grow :)  A very special thank you to all of the supporters! So many very generous RAGOM volunteers and other dog lovers have gone above and beyond to make sure they puppies and Hope have everything they need. It takes a village, and we certainly feel the love and appreciate it very, very much!

Ms. Jetta keeps us on our toes, I say that with love of course! Jetta found her way under the gate and then in a language I don't understand somehow caught the attention of ALL 10 puppies and summoned them over and told them to "make a break for it!" After lots of laughs and what surely made for great entertainment for our neighbors all the pups were back in the fence and all was well. We now have a gate blocking the area of the fence with the gap just big enough for 7 week old puppies to escape! Jetta has a short, and very shiney coat and will probably look more like a black lab as an adult. She has long legs, but is one of the smaller pups. Jetta has personality PLUS! And, she is a champion snuggler. What more could you ask for!? I see her being an athletic dog who loves adventure. She will make a great companion for an active family who is looking for someone to share in their fun.

Jetta will be seen by the vet for her distemper booster on Tuesday, 11/22 and then will be spayed on 11/23. After that, she is ready for her forever home! Who wants to show Jetta the GREAT life? Contact your placement advisor if you are interested in meeting our little trouble maker :)

The puppies turned 5 weeks old on Saturday! Time sure does fly :) I am happy to report that all 10 pups are happy, healthy, spunky, and pretty much perfect in every way! They are a very social bunch and are lucky enough to interact with a large variety of people of all ages. Giving them a ton of positive interactions with people and my dogs will help them grow to be confident, social and good all around dogs! Any family who adopts one of these beauties will be very lucky and very happy!

The pups were dewormed for the first time early last week. It is extremely common for puppies to have worms so this was not a surprise, nor cause for concern. We picked up the deworming medication and after a few days of passing large amount of worms the puppies are back to feeling good again. We will deworm them again in a week or so, and most likely when they move to their new families they will have one last dose.

Speaking of moving to their new families... both Zorro and Mamba are officially "adoption pending"!!! We are very very excited to know that these sweet babes are both going to fantastic homes! As hard as it will be to say goodbye to them when it comes time to move on, we know they will be loved and cherished (and their families have promised to keep us updated with pictures as they grow)! Two other families are coming this weekend to meet the crew... wish the puppies luck as they prepare to charm their forever family!

All of the puppies will be making their first trip to the vet on Friday! I will report back after their appointment. We anticipate a good report :) Let's hope foster mom survives the 10 puppy vet trip.... ;)

I must send a huge THANK YOU to my fellow RAGOM volunteers for their continued help and support! It would NOT be possible to take this on without you. It means so much!! :)

New individual pictures and updates next time! Stay Tuned!
