Do I look happy or what? My name is Casey and I am 10 1/2 years old. All FM knows is that my birthday is in the wintertime. She does not know the exact date.

I am living with three resident dogs and two other fosters who are mother and son. I get along with everyone just wonderful. There are also cats running around here too, but I just ignore them. I sure am one happy girl. Everyone who has met me just loves me. When I went to see the good doctor he almost cried because he said that I look just like his Golden girl Lucky whom he lost in January. He even called me Lucky at one time and so did one of the vet techs that was helping the good doctor. I weigh 66 lbs. I could lose a few lbs. and probably will on the walks that we take. I tested positive for Lymes disease and a tick born disease. My numbers for the Lymes disease were very high. I am on antibiotics and will go back to the good doctor after they are done to be checked again. I will probably have to have a Lymes disease shot every year for the rest of my life, but the good doctor said that I will probably not have any trouble. I also had an icky ear, but I have medicine for that. I DO NOT like to have the medicine put into my ears and I sure do let FM know that. :)

I let FM know that I have to go the bathroom by pacing and going to the back door. I have not paid any attention yet to any woobies, balls, or chew bones. But when I do outside I sure do like to roll around in the grass. Feels soooo good. I like being outside. Sometimes I just sit down and enjoy the environment. I come when I am called, I will sit when you tell me too, and I am usually the first one done with my breakfast and supper. Stay tuned for more about me.

Can you tell that I really like the furniture here?

This chair is REALLY comfy to sleep in.

I am going to my furever home. I have been adopted by a very wonderful couple that do not live too far from my foster mom. Oops, I mean my Auntie Kay now!!!!!!! So that means I will be able to see Auntie Kay once in awhile. As you can see, I am one happy pupper.

This was certainly a busy holiday season around the foster home. I want to thank Cheerie who donated a holiday icon for me in memory of her first RAGOM furbutt Tika, my anonymous holiday icon donor, and also my Goldzilla Friend anonymous donor. They are very much appreciated. Thanks again so much.

I continue to do so very well. I have compiled a list of things that I want you to know.

  • I am not much of a player with either of the other dogs or any woobies. I do like to chew on the hard bones though. I've tried to start playing with the other dogs, but am not sure what to do, so I stop. I am very social. I love everybody. I love my humans and kids of all ages.
  • I get along with other dogs. There have been seven dogs here at once before and there have been no problems.
  • I have free roam of the house, both day and night. I am potty trained and do not chew things up.
  • I am a couch potato.
  • I do not resource guard my food and I am learning to sit nicely when told to when FM puts my food down, but I need work on that. I also sit very nicely for my treats.
  • I like to ride in the car, but I do not like going to the vet.
  • I pull some when we go for walks. I love to go down with Chamois, Santana, and FM to get the paper in the morning and the mail in the afternoon. I sit very nicely at the end of the driveway when told to sit and wait. Then when FM gets back from going across, I know I can go run back up to the house.
  • There are 4 indoor cats here and 5 outdoor/barn cats here. I do not chase the cats. I just ignore them.
  • I can be outside in front without a leash as long as FM is there. I like to go off investigating with Chamois, but when told to come back, I do.
  • I am a love bug and love to snuggle.
  • I'm not too sure about baths, but do not give FD any trouble.
  • I am not usually too far from FM. I know where she is at all times.

If you think I will be an asset to your family and think I will fit into your family and you would like to meet me, please let your placement advisor know.

I love to chill in the crate now and then.

Casey here, checking in. Things here are going really well. FM has not taken me to get me weighed lately, but I know that I have lost some more weight. My girly figure is now oh la la!!!!! I am still trying to learn how to play with the other puppers here, but still do not get into a full play with them. I love to be outside exploring and this wonderful weather we are having has let me do that a lot. If you are looking for all the loving, attention, smiles, and kisses that you can stand, then I am the gal for you. Contact your placement advisor and we can get the ball rolling. Ta ta for now. Until later.

FD continues to say I am one of the smilingest dogs ever. I sure am a happy girl. I am doing very well here in my foster home. I like it here because they spoil me. :) The other day for the first time, FM saw me try and initiate play with the other dogs. She has seen me do that a couple of times now. I got a bath a few days ago and I did very well with it. I am blowing my coat right now, so I am being brushed a lot. I really like that because I like being brushed. I also like this cooler weather because we can stay outside longer. I didn't like the real hot weather. When I went outside to do my thing, I wanted in right away. Now I want to stay outside longer and enjoy the weather and explore.

Can you tell how happy I am that I am getting ready to eat?

What is this....I have to sit and wait before I can chow
down. Not fair!!!!!? I guess I need to show my manners.

I'm here to tell what has been going on with me. I continue to be the bestest girl. I have lost about three more pounds. I have had the shots that I needed for the positive Lymes disease test, so now I will only need one shot a year for this. I have now been around children ages 3 up to 18 years old and I have done wonderfully with all of them. In fact I LOVE the attention and tummy rubs they give me. I just ignore the cats. Both the indoor and the outdoor cats. I don't really play with any toys or the other dogs. For right now I would rather have the attention of the humans. When I need to go outside to do my business, I pace around and get excited. I don't know if I am good in a crate as there is no need to put me in one cause I am the bestest pupper. FM is teaching me "wait." I don't like it when she makes me "wait" before I dive into my food because I LOVE my food. FM has been taking me down to get the paper and/or the mail. I have done a very good job going down without a leash. I stay close to foster mom and if I want to go off in a different direction or get too far away, I am called back and get back on track. I have to sit and wait at the end of the driveway while FM goes across the road to get the paper or the mail. I do a pretty good job, but need reminders to "wait." I sleep on a dog bed in the bedroom at night, but in the morning sometimes when I know FM is awake I get up on the bed with her. I like riding in the car, but I do not like going to the vet. I keep a pretty close eye on where FM is and I am usually pretty close to where she is or I am where I can see her.

If you want lots of love and the bestest of puppers, then I am the girl for you. Contact your placement advisor and let her know. Aaaaroooooooooo!!!

Here I am sitting and waiting at the end of the driveway while FM goes across the road to get the paper or mail. I think I am doing a pretty good job and you can see that I love to smile.

I need to let everyone know how wonderful I am being, but first I want to thank my sponsors Curtis and Elizabeth G. very very much. This means a lot to me. Big slurps and slobbers to you.

I have to tell you that I have lost 5 pounds since I have been here. I am starting to get my girly figure back. Watch out boys!! I've learned to sit and "wait" until FM tells me that I can eat. Sometimes it is really tuff with that bowl of food staring me in the face, but I do what I am told. I am also learning to "lick" peanut butter off of FM's finger and not "bite" it. I sure do like that peanut butter.

I love to ride in the car, but I am not too sure about that good doctor's office. At night I sleep on one of the dogs beds that are in the bedroom on FM's side of the bed. In the morning when I know that she is awake I will jump up on the bed and snuggle with her to get my belly rubs. Or when FM or FD is sitting on the couch I will jump up and snuggle to get my belly rubs.

I really like this place. In the mornings I get yogurt in my breakfast and at night I get pumpkin or green beans (on alternate nights) in my supper.

I have not been around any kids here yet, but I know that I would like them and be ok with them. I am a big love bug and LOVE all of the attention that I am getting.

Again I want to thank my sponsors Curtis and Elizabeth G. I know that I do not know you, but I do know that you are Angels.

This is where I sit and wait for FM to fix my meals, but when I know she is about done I am up and at my eating place. I love my meals. FD says that I am the happiest girl because I am always smiling.
