Profile

KeKe came into RAGOM from China as a part of RAGOM's international outreach program. KeKe requires medication for skin allergies, but is otherwise a healthy girl. KeKe can live with children of any age. She enjoys other dogs and would thrive with a doggie companion in her home. She also can live with cats. KeKe does not need a physical fence, but a human should always be with her if she is on a leash or tie out because of her fear of loud noises. KeKe needs a quieter neighborhood and will be a loving companion.

KeKe is a beautiful approximately 3 year old Golden mix that RAGOM brought to the USA from China. She has a captivating gentle and sweet personality.

KeKe is quite social and would do best in a home with other dogs. She also gets along well with cats. She hasn't had problems with kids or other adults and seems to enjoy meeting most anyone. KeKe overall has a really happy and calm energy.

On the medical front, KeKe came in with giardia which has been resolved. She is currently taking Apoquel to deal with skin allergies. We are still trying to identify the correct dosage plus other supplements and shampoos that will be the perfect mix to resolve her itching. Other than allergies she is healthy.

KeKe loves to carry things around such as stuffed toys, a ball, or a bone. She can be a playful girl and enjoys a game of fetch, loves going for walks and does well on a leash. She does get zoomies or bursts of energy to play and run circles in the yard.

KeKe is an indoor house dog though and loves spending most of her time around her humans and relaxing in the house. She doesn't enjoy playing in water much and therefore is hesitant about going outside in the rain, or cooling off in a pool.

KeKe rarely barks or whines, and she shows no signs of aggression. She doesn't chew on items other than her bone, doesn't have a prey drive and doesn't guard her food or toys.

Her only concern is she needs to be prompted to go potty every few hours, once she is prompted to go outside she does well. Any adopter will need to put time into establishing a routine for going outside, possibly bell training.

KeKe is scared by loud noises, thunderstorms and fireworks. She would do best in a quieter neighborhood not surrounded by heavy vehicle traffic. So far her coping mechanism is to run and hide. Foster mom also gives her Trazadone if necessary. If the adopter does not have a fenced yard, a human should always accompany her outside if on a leash or tie out.

If you are looking for a loving dog who will adore you and want to be adored in return, KeKe would be a great companion.
