Hi guys! My name’s Kekoa! I think it’s prob’ly kinda hard to tell me apart from all the other little wiggly Golden’s around here, except for one thing… I’m what you call a “namesake”! I don’t really know what that means, but that’s what the peeps around here keep saying. They tell me that I have a special guardian angel watching over me and helping me be brave. I’m pretty sure it’s working, ‘cause I’m not scared of nothin! I don’t mind that warm, wet, built-in washcloth my mom uses to keep me clean. I’m not scared of all the two-leggers who come look at me and make weird “Awwwww” faces and high pitched noises. And, most important, I’m not afraid to fight my way through all the other puppies to the milk machine to get my share!

I’m not even scared to say a big puppy thank you to Joan, my very first sponsor! Hiya Joan! Here’s hopin’ I can touch your heart like my angel did. Guess I have some pretty big paw prints to fill, huh? Maybe you can help me figure things out so I can be really special, too. Whaddaya say?

This is a difficult email to write, one I've been dreading sending all day. This morning we had to say goodbye to our boy and help him cross the RB. I am heartbroken :(

I now weigh a whooping 11.7lbs, Vet says I will be a big snuggle bug when I grow up.

Went to the vet for the 1st shots and wormer, we are now at 6 weeks old. Foster mom had to bring reinforcements to help load all us puppies and unload at the vet. Thanks to Mary T for the extra help. Dr. Heidi says we are all very healthy and that our Dad must of been a big boy, cause our mom is kinda small. We have appointments to have our spay and neuter surgery for 5 of us on 3/19 and for the other 5 on 3/20. Then we will just wait for our new people parents and siblings to come get us. We sure are meeting lots of nice people, who most say "how do we choose, they all are so cute and perfect."

Mom has decided to hold back the milk and now mom is teaching us not to bite so hard and to play nice. We now eat dry Nurtrisource Lg puppy food 3-4 times a day and most of us are doing pretty good about going potty on the pads.

Went outside for the first time, because vet Heidi says we need to get hardened up a bit and go outside and learn to pee and poop on the grass. We all sure loved the KUDOS and praise when we go potty on the grass, we hold our heads high and get so excited.

Weight now 6.25lbs.

He is sooo huge, he has in no question gained the most weight, a 4.1 lb gain since 2/8/12. He requires 2 hands to pick him up.

2/8/12-Gained exactly 1 lb since last weight gaining nicely. Kekoa is my Daughter Nicoles fav, she says he is very outgoing, when you talk to the pups he makes himself known, he is very verbal. He growls and barks and runs for your hands and feet, likes to play with the pull rope toys. Somehow she always by chance picks him up out of the whole litter.

2/12/12-Started eating soft puppy food today, because mom (Ruby is getting very drained of nutrients) vet says start 1 feeding of puppy food in hopes Mom will get a little break, anyway eating very well, no problems in this area Gobbles it all up.

2/13/12-Godmom Jen came over and gave me a new collar and tag, so I am really somebody now, a license to Play and lick your face.
