Kelsee (Candy 06-385)

Profile

9/17/06: Candy is a five-year-old puppy mill girl who arrived this weekend with Maree 06-386. She is timid and frightened. She spent her first night in boarding but is getting a break tonight spending it at our house. She goes in tomorrow for her spay. From the looks of it she probably had a litter recently. She is absolutely gorgeous. A petite blonde girl with beautiful deep brown eyes. She is a little more socialized then most puppy mill dogs. She comes to you for pets and attention and does get her tail going. She loves my kids and their friends. We actually got her to eat and drink today. Of course, her meal consisted of canned dog food mixed with our leftover steak. She has done fine with my dogs but does not play. She also will go through doorways and on wood floors, which some mill dogs have trouble with. She has only so far navigated a couple of steps and has not ventured to the other levels of our house. She did not have any ear infections so that was good news. We are still waiting for her to give us a sample to check for worms. I am not sure of her weight but she seems to be at a healthy weight. Stayed tuned for more after her spay.
